The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Its current 13 full members are located in five Northeastern states: Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

Connors Park is a baseball venue in Loudonville, New York, United States. It is home to the Siena Saints baseball team of the NCAA Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The field has been home to Siena's baseball program since its inception in the 1950s. It seats 500 spectators. Features include chairback seating, a team clubhouse, and brick dugouts. Plassman Hall, a Siena dormitory, is visible beyond the center field fence, while J. Spencer and Patricia Standish Library stands beyond the right field fence.
The Siena Saints football program was the intercollegiate American football team for Siena College located in Loudonville, New York. The team competed in the NCAA Division I-AA and were members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1965. Siena participated in football from 1965 to 2003, compiling an all-time record of 124–215–3. On January 21, 2004, Siena announced it was discontinuing its D I-AA football program. The discontinuation of the football program saved $200,000 from the school Athletic Department's annual budget, which was reallocated into other areas within the Athletic Department.

The 2019–20 Siena Saints men's basketball team represented Siena College in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Saints, led by first-year head coach Carmen Maciariello, played their home games at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 20–10 overall, 15–5 in MAAC play to finish in first place. As the #1 seed in the MAAC tournament, they defeated #9 seed Manhattan 63–49 in the quarterfinals. However, the semifinals and championship game, and all postseason tournaments, were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Saints, led by second-year head coach Carmen Maciariello, played their home games at the Alumni Recreation Center in Loudonville, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 12–5, 12–4 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for first place. As the No. 1 seed in the MAAC tournament, they were upset in the quarterfinals by No. 9 seed Iona 52–55.

The 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 17, 2023. The regular season was followed by many conference tournaments and championship series, and the season concluded with the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2023 Men's College World Series. The Men's College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, ended on June 26, 2023, with LSU winning the title.
Michael R. Rappl is an American former basketball and softball coach. From 1980 until 2014, Rappl was the head softball coach at Canisius College. While at Canisius, Rappl helped build the program from a club team into a perennial NCAA tournament team and is considered a legendary figure in Canisius athletics history.
