Manila Fashion Festival (MFF) is a major fashion event held bi-annually in Manila, Philippines showcasing both local and international designers each season. [1] Following the festival's principal sponsorship with Panasonic starting with the Fall/Winter 2018 show last April 2018, the event was renamed to Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival (PMFF). [2]
Manila Fashion Festival was founded by Art Personas, Inc. in 2014, in partnership with One Globe Ltd. The event aims to showcase world-class artistic production and strengthen brand presence through creative execution. Manila Fashion Festival is now succeeded by GO Lifestyle Group with a new innovative formula.
The first Manila Fashion Festival show was held in November 11–14, 2014 at the Green Sun Hotel which featured designs from the brand ARIN and collections from its first roster of designers: Renan Pacson, Sassa Jimenez, Mark Bumgarner, Pablo Cabahug, Cheetah Rivera, Anthony Ramirez, Jaz Cerezo, Vania Romoff, Yevgeniya Alexandrovna Yushkova, Veejay Floresca, and Chris Diaz. The show was voted as Best Fashion Show of 2014 by the online fashion magazine Stylebible.ph. [3]
Shortly after its first season, the Fall/Winter 2015 collections were showcased from March 19 to 22, 2015 and featured more fashion designers including Jerome Salaya Ang, Happy Andrada, Odelon Simpao, Rhett Eala, Banggo Niu and Ziggy Savella. [4] The Spring/Summer 2016 collections were showcased from October 23 to 25, 2015 and featured Randy Ortiz, and Project Runway Philippines Season 4 winner, Joy Chicano. The Fall/Winter 2016 collections were showcased on a 4-day run from April 11 to 14, 2016 held on a new venue at Marquee Tent, Edsa Shangri-La Manila and featured collections from 25 fashion designers including newcomer Brit Tripudio. It also featured several brand collections from Lauquen, Coca-Cola Dress Coke, Seven Fridays, and ARIN. Manila Fashion Festival also hosted graduation shows from iAcademy and SoFA Design Institute fashion schools. [5]
The Manila Fashion Festival Now collections ran from October 18 to 21, 2016 with a collaboration with the Embassy of Netherlands, featured over 60 designers and 10 brands and observed resetting of fashion timeline and the "See Now, Buy Now" concept. [6] Manila Fashion Festival Next ran from March 21 to 24, 2017 [7] and Manila Fashion Festival Beyond featuring 50 designers and design collaboration with AirAsia ran from October 17 to 20, 2017. [8]
Starting the eighth season which ran from April 10 to 13, 2018, the show was officially renamed to Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival with Panasonic as the naming sponsor of the event. The eighth season also featured designers from Cebu and Davao regions with their Fall/Winter 2018 collections. [9] The ninth season which ran from October 16 to 19, 2018 featured over 40 local designers and a handful of designers from Southeast Asia. [10]
In April 2–5, 2019, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival held its tenth season with the theme “Fashion Formation Decoded” with Zilingo as its co-presenter. In October 15–18, 2019, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival celebrated its fifth anniversary with the theme “Celebrate Fashion, Celebrate Life”. Held in EDSA Shangri-la, the fifth anniversary season was sponsored by San Mig Light which also presented a show along with Philippine Textile Research Institute with designs by designer Yong Davalos.
As Panasonic Philippines being its naming sponsor, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival also hosts Panasonic Beauty Lifestyle Talks, a series of talks with topics related to beauty and fashion. It also features products from the brand of Panasonic Beauty in relation to the topics of the talks. The series of talks are held in the afternoon, prior to the main evening fashion shows.
Manila Fashion Festival launched its first capsule collection last May 27, 2015 which featured collaboration of fashion designer M Barretto and menswear clothing line brand OutKast Paradigm. [11]

Shangri-La Plaza opened on November 21, 1991 and contains more than 300 shops and restaurants.
Josie Natori is a Filipino-American fashion designer and the CEO and founder of The Natori Company. Natori served as a commissioner on the White House Conference on Small Business. In March 2007 she was awarded the Order of Lakandula, one of the highest civilian awards in the Philippines. In April 2007, Natori received the "Peopling of America" Award from the Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island Foundation. She often says her business philosophy is based around an "East-West mix" of culture and design.
Stephen Jones OBE is a British milliner based in London, who is considered one of the most radical and important milliners of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. He is also one of the most prolific, having created hats for the catwalk shows of many leading couturiers and fashion designers, such as John Galliano at Dior and Vivienne Westwood. His work is known for its inventiveness and high level of technical expertise. Jones co-curated the 2009 exhibition Hats: An Anthology for the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Project Runway Philippines is the Philippine adaptation of the American reality show Project Runway. This reality television series, which aims to find "the next big Filipino fashion designer," is produced by Solar Entertainment Corporation and Unitel Productions. It is shown on ETC. The series has an erratic airing schedule, as seasons 1 and 2 aired in 2008 and 2009, season 3 in 2012, and season 4 in 2015. The show was hosted by model and actress Teresa Herrera during the first two seasons. She was replaced by Filipina fashion legend Tweetie de Leon. Fashion designer Jojie Lloren serves as mentor since the first season while Filipino top model and lifestyle feature writer Apples Aberin and fashion designer Rajo Laurel complete the judging panel. The series fourth season ended on September 20, 2015.

The Philippine Fashion Week (PhFW) is a biannual week-long fashion show held in Metro Manila, Philippines. Dates are determined for the month of May, for showcasing holiday collections, and for the month of October showcasing spring and summer collections. It is the longest-running fashion event in the country, and the largest fashion event held in Manila, known as the "Olympics" of Philippine fashion. The Philippine Fashion Week was founded by Joey A. Espino Jr and Audie Espino in 1997. They continue to lead the project as executive producers along with the Espino brothers' protégé, Conchitina (Tina) Herrera.
Edsa Shangri-La, Manila is a 5-star luxury hotel located at Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Philippines and one of the three hotels managed by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts located in Metro Manila, Philippines. It opened on August 28, 1992. The hotel has 632 rooms and suites, four international restaurants, two lounges, a cafe, and a bakeshop, across two wings, and is considered a city resort.
Filipino fashion designer Lesley Mobo has worked in Paris and London. He spent his early years in Philippines before moving to London to study Fashion. After gaining a University degree in Biology and a scholarship offer from a Medical school, he instead turned his hands into fashion design. Graduating from Central St Martin's in 2002 with a First Class B.A. Honours Degree in Fashion, his final year collection titled "Maniac" was co-sponsored by Cerruti allowing him to use luxurious tailoring fabrics from Lanifico Fratelli Cerruti Italy. He also received the Colin Barnes Award for fashion illustration from Central St Martin's, a nomination in the Chartered Society of Designers Fashion Awards held in the British Natural History Museum, and participated in the ‘Fashion in Motion exhibition exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum from which his works were featured in the BBC News. In 2002 he was interviewed by John Galliano for the House of Christian Dior, and has also assisted for Clements Ribeiro and Cacharel. In 2002 he was scouted from college by Mohammed Al Fayed owner of Harrods Department store, he accepted a designer post and helped established a lifestyle brand in Harrods, London.

The brand designs and creates its own products and also retails other emerging fashion labels, and is known for exotic runway shows and advocating global issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic the company announced it would close all its physical stores. Opening Ceremony was one of the first retail shops to carry Havaianas and Topshop products, and has carried Alexander Wang, Comme Des Garcons, Proenza Schouler and Rodarte.
Serbia Fashion Week is a fashion show held twice a year in Novi Sad, Serbia. Occurring in April and November, the event attracts local and international fashion designers, such as Thierry Mugler and Anna Fendi. In addition to runway shows, seminars and exhibits, the "Fashion Talent Design Competition" helps promote young Serbian designers by showcasing their collections. The seven day festival also highlights the works of applied artists, musicians, interior decorators, multimedia experts and architects.
