Jill Officer is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Officer played second for the teams skipped by Jennifer Jones from 2003 to 2018 and while they were juniors. The team won a gold medal while representing Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Team Jones was the first women’s team to go through an Olympic campaign undefeated. The team has also won two World Curling Championships in 2008 and 2018, while going through the later event without a loss on their way to gold.

The winning team of Jennifer Jones, represented Manitoba at the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Red Deer, Alberta, where they finished round robin with a 9-2 record, which was enough to finish 1st place and clinch a spot in the playoffs. Jones would lose both the 1-2 game and the semi-final before winning the bronze medal game over Quebec.

The 2013 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held from January 31 to February 10 at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MacDonald Island Park and at the Oilsands Curling Club in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Alberta last hosted the junior championships in Calgary in 2011. The winners will represent Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships in Sochi, Russia.
The Atkins Curling Supplies Classic is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, that takes place at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event has also been hosted by the Charleswood Curling Club in Winnipeg and the East St. Paul Curling Club in East St. Paul, Manitoba. The tournament is held in a round-robin format, and became part of the World Curling Tour in 2012. It began in 2007. Prior to this it was just part of the Manitoba Curling Tour.
The 2012 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic was held October 19 to 22 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was the second women's Grand Slam event of the 2012–13 curling season, and this edition of the event marked the ninth time that the tournament has been held. The purse for the event was CAD$60,000, of which the winner, Stefanie Lawton, received CAD$15,000. Lawton defeated Rachel Homan in the final with a score of 6–4.

The winning Andrew Symonds team will represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship in Brandon, Manitoba.
