Ravichandran Manoranjan is an Indian actor who appears in Kannada films. [1]
The son of Kannada film star actor-director V. Ravichandran, Manoranjan made his debut with the Kannada film Saheba (2017), directed by Bharath, which was released to mixed reviews, but earned him good reviews. [2]
Manoranjan Ravichandran was born to Kannada actor and director V. Ravichandran and Sumathy. [3] He has a sister Geethanjali and a brother Vikram. He is a grandson of notable South Indian film producer N. Veeraswamy.
Manoranjan has attended acting classes at Abhinaya Tharanga and was trained by A S Murthy's daughter. He has learnt dance in Chennai and martial arts in Bangalore. His initial interest was in Cricket which he wanted to shape up as his career. He played tournaments at the district level and was about to play at the state level when he met with a hand injury. [4] He eventually landed up in films and took up his father's production film.
Manoranjan's film career took off after his father actor V. Ravichandran announced his project titled Premalokadalli Ranadheera in 2014. He had mentioned to direct the new film after completing his film Manjina Hani . [5] However in 2015, it was reported that this film was indefinitely postponed and he would not direct the film. [6] It was also reported that director Bharath would instead direct the film with Manoranjan as lead. The project was finalized in 2016 and titled as Saheba . [7] The film released in August 2017 and received mixed reviews with critics praising his performance as a promising one. His next film was with director Nanda Kishore for the Rockline Venkatesh's production titled Brihaspathi . The film was a remake of Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014) in which he reprises the role played by actor Dhanush. The film was released on 5 January 2018.

Premaloka is a 1987 Indian romantic musical film directed by Ravichandran, in his directorial debut, and produced by N. Veeraswamy under Sri Eshwari Productions. The film, based on the 1982 film Grease 2, was made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil with the Tamil version titled Paruva Ragam. It stars Ravichandran in the lead role, alongside Juhi Chawla, Leelavathi and Lokesh in supportive roles in the Kannada version, while Jaishankar and Manorama reprise their respective roles in the Tamil version. Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Tiger Prabhakar, Srinath and Urvashi made guest appearances in the film. Thengai Srinivasan, Cho Ramaswamy and Delhi Ganesh portray the respective roles of Ambareesh, Prabhakar and Srinath in the Tamil version.
Veeraswamy Ravichandran, known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an Indian actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor working predominantly in Kannada cinema. The son of film producer N. Veeraswamy, he continues to produce and distribute films under his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. He is popularly referred to as "Crazy Star" by the media and his followers.

Ravi Shankar in the lead roles. The film is a remake of 2013 Telugu film Mirchi. It was released on 1 May 2014. Upon its release, Maanikya got an excellent response from the critics and audience, and had a good run at the box office. The satellite rights of the movie was sold for a large amount. The film was later dubbed into Hindi under the same name by RKD Studios in 2015.
Drishya (transl. Visual) is a 2014 Indian Kannada-language crime thriller film directed by P. Vasu and produced by E4 Entertainment, starring V. Ravichandran and Navya Nair. It is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam-language film Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal and Meena. The supporting cast feature an ensemble of Achyuth Kumar, Prabhu, Asha Sarath, Swaroopini Narayan, Unnathi and Rohith B. The film's music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. A sequel Drishya 2 was released in 2021.
Power is a 2014 Indian masala film directed by K. Madesh and features Puneeth Rajkumar and Trisha in lead roles, alongside Prabhu, Kelly Dorjee, Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2011 Telugu film Dookudu which itself was inspired by the 2003 German tragicomedy film Good Bye, Lenin!. The story revolves around Bharath Kumar (Puneeth), a police officer who’s pursuing underworld don Naik (Kelly), who operates from Spain and Mumbai. Naik and his henchmen had tried to kill Bharath’s father Krishna Prasad (Prabhu), an honest MLA and a staunch follower of late actor Rajkumar. Circumstances force Bharath to act as an MLA, a reality show director and a cop, three roles which he portrays with finesse. While in Spain, Bharath falls in love with Prashanthi (Trisha). But how he plans to eliminate Naik and company forms the mainstay of the plot.
Naanu Nanna Hendthi is a 1985 Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by D. Rajendra Babu and written by K. S. Satyanarayan. The film stars V. Ravichandran, Urvashi and Leelavathi. The core plot of the film was loosely based on the 1981 Telugu film Nenu Maa Aavida. The soundtrack and score composition was by Shankar–Ganesh and the film was produced by N. Veeraswamy. D. Rajendra Babu made his Bollywood debut in 1987, with the remake version of this movie, titled as Pyaar Karke Dekho. The song Akkipete Lakkamma was retained in the Hindi version as Haki Petai Lakamma- both sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. The film was also remade in Tamil as Kanna Thorakkanum Saami. The film was a box office success.
Mungaru Male 2 is a 2016 Indian Kannada romantic drama film co-written and directed by Shashank. It stars Ganesh, Neha Shetty and Ravichandran with Shilpa Manjunath, Aindrita Ray, P. Ravi Shankar and Sadhu Kokila in supporting roles. It is not a sequel to the film Mungaru Male (2006). The film found its theatrical release worldwide on 9 September 2016, while in Karnataka, the release was pushed to 10 September 2016 because of the Cauvery water dispute. It was a commercial success at the box office by collecting over ₹20 crore in its lifetime theatrical run.
