The Baloncesto Superior Nacional, abbreviated as BSN, is the first-tier-level professional men's basketball league in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1929 and is organized by the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation.
Daniel Gregg Santiago is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player. A center, he had a collegiate career in the NCAA and NAIA. His professional career saw him play in the NBA, the Baloncesto Superior Nacional of Puerto Rico, and overseas. Santiago has played for the Puerto Rican national team since 1998 until 2014, including been part of the 2004 team that defeated the United States at the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.
Peter John Ramos Fuentes is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player and professional wrestler. He is the sixth athlete from Puerto Rico to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the third drafted, gathering success in the NBA Development League (NBDL), where he was an All Star during the 2006–07 season. Ramos has also played in Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was a member of the Puerto Rico national basketball team from 2004 to 2016, making his Olympic debut in the game where Puerto Rico defeated the United States at Athens.
Rick Apodaca is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player. Apodaca has played in the NCAA, USBL, NBDL, and the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico (BSN) with the Arecibo Captains, Bayamón Cowboys, San German Athletics and Leones de Ponce. He also played professional basketball in Poland, Italy and Turkey. Apodaca was a member of the senior Puerto Rican National Basketball Team that defeated the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
Alfred Lee, Jr. is a Puerto Rican retired professional basketball player. He began his career in the NCAA, where he gathered several "Player of the Year" recognitions and earned All-American honors as both a junior and senior while at Marquette University. Lee was selected as the Most Outstanding Player at the 1977 Final Four where he led the Warriors to the school's first national championship. The university recognized this by retiring his jersey. Lee was the first Puerto Rican and Latin American-born athlete to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA), accomplishing this after being selected in the first round of the 1978 NBA draft. There he played for the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Lee concluded his career in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He is known to be the only Puerto Rican professional basketball player to win championships in the NCAA, NBA, and BSN. Lee was a member of the Puerto Rican national team.

Robert Tyrell "T. J" Cummings Jr. is an American former basketball player. He is the son of former NBA player Terry Cummings and graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Cummings played college basketball with the UCLA Bruins for four years. Upon graduation, he was drafted in the 2005 NBDL draft by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the 3rd round. In his rookie year, he averaged 12.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. On April 22, Albuquerque won the NBDL Championship against the Fort Worth Flyers 119-108.
David Anthony Noel III is an American retired professional basketball player and current assistant coach of the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Noel was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft with their lone pick, 39th overall.

Diaz has also played professionally in Europe and in Puerto Rico.
Alejandro "Bimbo" Carmona is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player who currently plays for Piratas de Quebradillas of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Carmona has played with the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Carolina Giants, Vaqueros de Bayamón and the Taínos de Mayagüez. Carmona participated in 2005 pre-season training camp of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association. Carmona has played internationally with Fuerza Regia from Mexico. Carmona is a member of the Puerto Rico national basketball team since 2006.
Miguel Ali Berdiel is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player who currently plays for Gigantes de Carolina. Berdiel has played in the NCAA, CBA, the NBA G League, and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Internationally, Berdiel has played in Belgium, Slovenia, Cyprus, Mexico and Uruguay. Berdiel was a member of the Puerto Rico national basketball team from 2007 until 2014.

After playing college basketball, Cruz played in Puerto Rico's top-level league, the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Cangrejeros de Santurce, Indios de Canóvanas, Mets de Guaynabo, Cardenales de Río Piedras, and Taínos de Mayagüez. Cruz also played in Spain with Picadero Damm, and in Belgium with Racing Club Mechelen.
