The GC-1 is a superhighway on the island of Gran Canaria. It links the capital Las Palmas in the north with Puerto de Mogán in the south. It is the fastest route from the north of the island to the south and vice versa with a top speed limit of 120 km/h (75 mph). It is approximately 75 km in length, and runs along the eastern and the southern coasts of this circular island and is also the second longest superhighway in the Canary Islands. The road provides easy access from the airport to the major cities and resorts. The resorts include Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés. The increase in tourism over the years has seen the GC1 route slowly being upgraded and widened to cope with extra traffic.
Necochea is a port and beach city in the southwest of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The city is located on the Atlantic coast, along the mouth of the Quequén Grande River, 528 km (328 mi) from Buenos Aires and 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Mar del Plata. The city proper has 90,000 inhabitants per the 2010 census [INDEC] and is the seat of government for Necochea Partido.

Punta Mogotes is an open beach area and an adjacent neighbourhood located in Mar del Plata, Argentina, some three kilometres (2 mi) south-west of the city's port. The coastline was largely high dunes and a somewhat wild landscape until 1980, when a large compound of resort facilities and paved roads was built right along the beach.
The first European navigator to visit the beaches and cliffs of what one day would become Mar del Plata was Sir Francis Drake in his 1577 circumnavigation voyage. He introduced the name Cape Lobos in the cartography of his time, due to the large colony of sea lions around the cape today known as Cabo Corrientes. Just four years later, the Spanish Governor of the River Plate, Don Juan de Garay explored the area by land, and paid tribute to the beautiful landscape by describing it as a muy galana costa. Mar del Plata Sud is a former railway station in the city of Mar del Plata in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Built and managed by the Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway, the station was conceived as an alternative to the original Mar del Plata station built in 1886, only to operate during Summer seasons. The station was inaugurated in 1910. Soon after the Government led by Juan Perón nationalised the entire railway network, the station was closed to reduce costs.
