Northcliff is an affluent residential suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. The suburb is located on Northcliff Ridge which offers vistas of the Central Business District on one side, and the leafy northern suburbs on the other. Northcliff's huge homes are nestled around a steep incline of the hill, and on the foot of Northcliff borders the suburbs of Fairland, Blackheath, Cresta and Berario. Recently some streets have been boomed in order to provide Northcliff's high-income residents with more security and exclusivity. Nkosi's Haven is an NGO in the Johannesburg, South Africa area that offers residential, holistic care and support for mothers and their children whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS. Nkosi's Haven also provides support for orphans, HIV/AIDS affected or not. It aims to improve the productivity of their residents through providing access to medical care, therapy, education and skill building workshops. The goal is to empower residents while providing a safe, dignified home in hopes that all mothers and children are able to become responsible and contributing members of society.

The Marang Centre for Mathematics and Science Education is a division of the Wits School of Education, a school within the Faculty of Humanities of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Marang Centre was inaugurated as an academic centre in October 2005, following substantial sponsorship from the Standard Bank of South Africa, which continues to be the major sponsor of the centre. The centre occupies part of the Education Campus, formerly the campus of the Johannesburg College of Education in the Parktown section of Johannesburg next to the School of Medical and Health Sciences.
Mpho Franklyn Parks Tau was the mayor of the city of Johannesburg, South Africa from 2011-2016. He is a member of the African National Congress, and was the second democratically elected mayor, after Amos Masondo, of the Unified City of Johannesburg. He lost the mayoralty to the DA's Herman Mashaba in a historic defeat on the 22 of August 2016. He is currently the Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional affairs since 29 May 2019.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, or SSA, is an Indian Government programme aimed at the universalisation of primary education "in a time bound manner", the 86th Amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory education to children between the ages of 6 to 14 a fundamental right(Article- 21A). The programme was pioneered by former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It aims to educate all children between the ages 6 to 14 by 2010. However, the time limit has been pushed forward indefinitely.
A charter school is a school that receives government funding but operates independently of the established state school system in which it is located. It is independent in the sense that it operates according to the basic principle of autonomy for accountability, that it is freed from the rules but accountable for results.
Jeffrey Alan Crossman is an American attorney who is the Member of the Ohio House of Representatives from the 15th District in Cuyahoga County. Crossman previously served as a member of the Parma City Council. Crossman is also an active member of ASAPROSAR, a non-governmental organization that provides health, education, environment and economic development programs in El Salvador.
