The Party of the Democratic Revolution is a state-level social democratic political party in Mexico. The PRD originated from the Democratic Current, a political faction formed in 1986 from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). The PRD was formed after the contested general election in 1988, which the PRD's immediate predecessor, the National Democratic Front, believed was rigged by the PRI. This sparked a movement away from the PRI's authoritarian rule.
Roberto Madrazo Pintado is a Mexican politician, member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. He was the candidate of the alliance between his party and the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) in the 2006 Mexican presidential election.

Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón is a Mexican politician who served as Secretary of Foreign Affairs until 2023. Affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) since 2018, he was appointed to lead the foreign ministry by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on 1 December 2018. In June 2023, he resigned from his post to compete for his party's presidential candidacy for the 2024 election.
Ana Rosa Payán Cervera is a Mexican right-wing politician from Yucatán who in 2006 served as Director of the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF) in the cabinet of Vicente Fox. In 2007 she ran for Governor of Yucatán as the Labor Party–Convergence candidate.
Ivonne Aracelly Ortega Pacheco is a Mexican politician from Yucatán affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), former Governor of Yucatán and current federal deputy to the LXIII Legislature of the Mexican Congress. She is Yucatan's first elected female governor, although the second to serve, after Dulce María Sauri who served as interim governor from 1991 to 1994. She is the sixth woman to serve as governor of a Mexican state.
The Coalition for the Good of All was a left-wing coalition created by the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), Convergence and the Labor Party (PT) to support Andrés Manuel López Obrador as a candidate for the presidency of Mexico in the general election of 2006. The coalition also presented joint candidates for Congressional and local elections.

The National Regeneration Movement, commonly referred to by its syllabic abbreviation Morena is a major left-wing populist political party in Mexico. As of 2023, it is the largest political party in Mexico by number of members; it has been the ruling party since 2018, and won a second term in the 2024 general election.

She held membership in the party Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena), after earlier having belonged to the Party of the Democratic Revolution. She occupied the posts of local deputy, federal deputy and federal senator for Tabasco, and in Andrés Manuel López Obrador's government she was the Administrator General of Fiscal Audit of the Servicio de Administración Tributaria.
Carlos Manuel Joaquín González is a Mexican politician, the governor of the state of Quintana Roo. From 2009 to 2012 he served as Deputy of the LXI Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Quintana Roo. In March 2023, he was appointed Ambassador of Mexico to Canada.
Social Encounter Party was a Mexican conservative political party established on the national level in 2014 and dissolved in 2018. It was part of the coalition Juntos Haremos Historia with the National Regeneration Movement and Mexico's Labor Party for the 2018 Mexican election.
Bonifacio Castillo Cruz is a Mexican politician and chemical engineer graduated from the University Veracruzana. He is a member of PT. He has been municipal president of Papantla in the 1998-2000 triennium and federal deputy in the LVIII Legislature (2000-2003). He was a State and National Councilor of the PRD, resigned from that party in 2009. He is currently the coordinator of the PT Veracruz Organization appointed by the National Executive Committee of that Party.
Delfina Gómez Álvarez is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) who has served as the Governor of the State of Mexico since 2023. She previously served as the head of the Secretariat of Public Education appointed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. She served as a senator from the State of Mexico in the LXIV Legislature of the Mexican Congress. She also has served as a federal deputy and mayor.
Bertha Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz is a Mexican politician and businesswoman. From 2015 until 2018, she was mayor of Mexico City's Miguel Hidalgo borough. From 2018 to 2023, she was a plurinominal senator in the Mexican Congress's LXIV and LXV Legislatures. As a senator, she caucused with the center-right National Action Party, but she frequently supported progressive politics on social issues such as abortion, drug policy, and social spending. She graduated from the UNAM School of Engineering with a degree in computer engineering. She received the nomination as the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition's nominee for the 2024 Mexican presidential election.
