Marc Hussey (born January 22, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft 43rd overall. [1]

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Penguins are one of two NHL franchises in Pennsylvania, the other being the Philadelphia Flyers. The cities' proximity has led to a rivalry known as the "Battle of Pennsylvania". The club is owned by Mario Lemieux and Ronald Burkle, who purchased the Penguins in 1999 and brought the club out of bankruptcy.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, Hussey played in the AHL and IHL from 1994 until 1999 and continued his career in Europe until his retirement in 2004. After his retirement, he became a head coach for the Saint John Vito's AAA hockey team in 2008. He held the position for two seasons before joining the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs as an assistant coach in 2009. [2] While coaching, he was also a member of the Saint John Police Force. [3] [4]

The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. The Saint John Sea Dogs are a major junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The team was founded as an expansion team in 2005, and play at Harbour Station in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The Dogs became the first team from Atlantic Canada to win a Memorial Cup championship, with a 2011 Memorial Cup victory. Saint John has won three President's Cup championships in 2011, 2012 and 2017.

Simon Després is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing with Kölner Haie of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). During a game in 2015, he suffered a severe concussion that complicated his career due to recurring symptoms, forcing him to miss nearly all Ducks games to follow; out of concern for his condition, the Ducks bought him out.
