After graduation, he moved to Mazatlán, México. In that city, he worked for several local companies in the hotel industry under the timeshare system. In 1977 he oversaw the marketing for the Islas Del Sol project, and in 1979 for the Inn at Mazatlán development. [1]

Mazatlán city in Sinaloa, Mexico

Mazatlán is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipio, known as the Mazatlán Municipality. It is located at 23°13′N106°25′W on the Pacific coast, across from the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula.

Together with Ernesto Coppel Kelly, he co-founded Pueblo Bonito Hotels and Resorts. [2] He is currently the CEO of Kron international.

Education.

Kronemeyer enrolled in the San Diego State University in 1973. While at the SDSU, he was Executive Vice-president of the Student Body [3] (1976 - 1977). He obtained his bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a triple major in Journalism, Mass Communications, and Telecommunications in May 1977.

Career.

After graduating, Kronemeyer moved to Mazatlán, in the north-west coast of México.

Mazatlán was a mid-size city, with a thriving hotel industry. Kronemeyer saw plenty of opportunities in that area, under the timeshare system. He landed a job as Marketing Director of the Islas Del Sol project (Balnearios de Las Americas, S.A. de C.V.) from 1977 through 1979. After this job, Kronemeyer was responsible for the marketing of the Inn at Mazatlán Development from 1979 through 1989. In both cases in association with Ernesto Coppel Kelly. [4]

Hotel Entrepreneur.

Kronemeyer and Coppel developed a strong personal and business relationship, that led to the co-founding of the first hotel in Mazatlán of Pueblo Bonito Hotels and Resorts in 1987. Due to the success of their first venture, they developed a second Pueblo Bonito hotel in Los Cabos. [5] [6]

In 1994 he became a stockholder of Quinta del Golfo de Cortez, S.A. de C.V., parent company, developer and owner of the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort [7] at Cabo del Sol in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.

Baseball player.

Kronemeyer was a semi pro baseball player in Mexico, [8] he represented the state of Sinaloa in national competitions. Once retired from active play. He served as a Major-League scout with a special assignment in México for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Anaheim Angels until 2010.

Personal life.

Kronemeyer is married to Patricia Coppel Kelly. [9] [10] They have three children; Mark, Stefanie Dee and Ashley Ann. [11] He is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.

Kronemeyer is an avid golf player, and has won several local tournaments in Mazatlán. [12] .

Francisco Rafael Arellano Félix was a Mexican drug lord and former leader of the Tijuana Cartel, a drug trafficking organization. He was the oldest of seven brothers and headed the criminal organization early in the 1990s alongside them. Through his brother Benjamín, Francisco Rafael joined the Tijuana Cartel in 1989 following the arrest of Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, one of the most prominent drug czars in Mexico during the 1980s. When the Arellano Félix took control of the organization in the early 1990s, tensions with the rival Sinaloa Cartel prompted violent attacks and slayings from both fronts.

Hurricane Lane (2006) Category 3 Pacific hurricane in 2006

Hurricane Lane was the thirteenth named storm, ninth hurricane, and sixth major hurricane of the 2006 Pacific hurricane season. The strongest Pacific hurricane to make landfall in Mexico since Hurricane Kenna of 2002, Lane developed on September 13 from a tropical wave to the south of Mexico. It moved northwestward, parallel to the coast of Mexico, and steadily intensified in an area conducive to further strengthening. After turning to the northeast, Lane attained peak winds of 125 mph (205 km/h), and made landfall in the state of Sinaloa at peak strength. It rapidly weakened and dissipated on September 17, and later brought precipitation to southern part of the U.S. state of Texas.

Hurricane Isis (1998) Category 1 Pacific hurricane in 1998

Hurricane Isis was the only hurricane to make landfall during the 1998 Pacific hurricane season. The ninth tropical storm and sixth hurricane of the season, Isis developed on September 1 from an interaction between a tropical wave and a large surface circulation to the southwest of Mexico. It moved northward, striking the extreme southeastern portion of the Baja California peninsula before attaining hurricane status in the Gulf of California. Isis made landfall at Topolobampo in the Mexican state of Sinaloa on September 3, and quickly lost its low-level circulation. The remnants persisted for several days before dissipating over the U.S. state of Idaho on September 8.
