Marcus Klausmann (born 8 August 1977) is a German former downhill mountain biker. He notably finished second overall at the 1996 UCI Downhill World Cup and won the second race in Nevegal, Italy. He also won the National Downhill Championships thirteen times: in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2013. [1]
Franz Klammer is a former champion alpine ski racer from Austria. He dominated the downhill event for four consecutive World Cup seasons (1975–78). He was the gold medalist at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, winning the downhill at Patscherkofel by a margin of 0.33 seconds with a time of 1:45.73. Klammer won 25 World Cup downhills, including four on the Hahnenkamm at Kitzbühel. He also holds the record for the most victories (four) on the full course at Kitzbühel.
Samuel Bode Miller is an American former World Cup alpine ski racer. He is an Olympic and World Championship gold medalist, a two-time overall World Cup champion in 2005 and 2008, and the most successful male American alpine ski racer of all time. He is also considered one of the greatest World Cup racers of all time with 33 race victories and being one of five men to win World Cup events in all five disciplines. He is the only skier with five or more victories in each discipline. In 2008, Miller and Lindsey Vonn won the overall World Cup titles for the first U.S. sweep in 25 years.

John Tomac is an American former professional cyclist who competed from 1985 to 2005.;[17] He is of Croatian ancestry. He was a versatile rider who competed in multiple disciplines including; BMX racing, cross-country, road racing, trials riding and downhill racing. Tomac became a mountain bike racing icon in the late 1980s as the sport began to develop beyond its formative years. At the time of his retirement in 2005, he had won more mountain bike races than anyone in the sport. In 1991 he was inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and, in 2004 he was inducted into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame.

Brazil sent a delegation to compete at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway from 12–27 February 1994. This was Brazil's second time competing at a Winter Olympic Games, following their debut two years prior. Lothar Christian Munder, who had been part of the delegation to those Olympics was the only athlete sent by Brazil to Lillehammer. In his only event, the downhill, he came in 50th place.

Sam Hill, is an Australian professional enduro mountain biker and former professional downhill racer. He was two time consecutive UCI World Downhill Champion during years 2006–2007 for Iron Horse racing team. He won the 2010 world championships in Mont Saint Anne, riding for the Monster Energy Specialized team on a Specialized Demo 8 II. He also won the 2007 and 2009 UCI Elite Men's Downhill World Cup (Overall). In December 2012 it was announced that Hill had signed for the Chain Reaction Cycles/Nukeproof team. As of 2016, Hill has switched to racing enduro and won the 2017 Enduro World Series overall title. In the same year he raced the Downhill World Championships in Cairns, Australia on his enduro bike where he finished sixth.

His older brother Baptiste and his younger brother Antoine also compete in downhill racing.

He also won the National Downhill Championships in 2008 and 2011. He also finished third overall and won two events at the 2001 UCI Downhill World Cup.
Sabrina Jonnier is a French former professional downhill mountain biker. She won the general classification of the UCI Downhill World Cup five times: in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010. She was also the world downhill champion in 2006 and 2007, in addition to four second-place finishes.
