Margus Pirksaar

Margus Pirksaar (born 25 October 1974) is an Estonian athletics competitor. [1]

He was born in Karksi-Nuia. In 2000 he graduated from vocational university Veritas in social sciences. [1]

Firsty he exercised in skiing and orienteering. Later he exercised in athletics, coached by Uno Källe, Enn Sellik ja Harry Lemberg. He finished 28th at 2002 European Athletics Championships – Men's marathon. He is multiple-times Estonian champion in different running disciplines. [1]

Jüri Lossmann was an Estonian long distance runner. He finished second in the marathon at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, at 2:32:48.6, trailing Hannes Kolehmainen by 13 seconds, but beating the third-placed Valerio Arri by almost 4 minutes. At the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris he was the flag bearer for Estonia and finished tenth in the marathon.

Margus Hernits, before 1991 also credited as Margus Kulkov is an Estonian former competitive figure skater. An eight-time Estonian national champion, he competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics, the 1998 Winter Olympics and the 2002 Winter Olympics, placing 25th, 20th and 27th respectively. After retiring from competition, he became a technical specialist and vice-president of the Estonian Skating Union.
