Marie-Odette Lorougnon is an Ivorian politician who served as a member of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast from 2000 to 2010. She was a member of the Front populaire ivoirien (FPI) [2] and held the position of Vice President in charge of women's affairs. [3] She later joined the Parti des peuples africains –Côte d'Ivoire (PPA-CI).

Koudou Laurent Gbagbo is an Ivorian politician who was the president of Côte d'Ivoire from 2000 until his arrest in April 2011. A historian,Gbagbo was imprisoned in the early 1970s and again in the early 1990s,and he lived in exile in France during much of the 1980s as a result of his union activism. Gbagbo founded the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI) in 1982 and ran unsuccessfully for president against Félix Houphouët-Boigny at the start of multi-party politics in 1990. He won a seat in the National Assembly of Côte d'Ivoire in 1990.

Makoukou Célestine Ouezzin Coulibaly-Traoré was an anti-colonial leader in French West Africa. She helped to set up the women's section of the Rassemblement Démocratique Africain in Côte d'Ivoire and Upper Volta,becoming its secretary general in 1948. In 1958,she was appointed Upper Volta's Minister of Social Affairs,probably making her the first woman to join a cabinet in any of the French-speaking West African governments.

Anne Gnahouret Tatret is an Ivorian politician. Whilst finishing her legal studies in 1978,Gnahouret became the head of the legal department of the autonomous port of San-Pédro. She worked there until 2000,also pursuing a political career. She joined the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI) under the patronage of Émile Boga Doudou. From 2002,she served as a diplomat,being the Ivorian ambassador to Angola,Mexico and Cuba. She was included on a 2011 list of Ivorian politicians against which the European Union had laid sanctions.
Anne-Marie Essy Raggi was an Ivorian politician and symbol of the anti-colonial struggle. She led the women's march in Grand-Bassam,was an honorary member of the national board of the Ivorian Women's Association,and president of the AFI of Grand-Bassam.
