Marina Khan (born 26 December 1962) is a Pakistani television and film actress, director, and producer. [1] She is one of the most popular actresses of her time and was one of the most successful actresses of 1980s and 1990s. [2] Her television shows include Tanhaiyaan (1985), Dhoop Kinare (1987), Kohar (1991), Nijaat (1993), Tum Se Kehna Tha (1995) and Tanha (1997). She left the industry in mid-2000s and made a comeback from Tanhaiyan Naye Silsile (2012) which was the sequel to her debut series Tanhaiyan. Khan made her film debut with a title role in the 2016 movie Lala Begum . [3]
Khan was born in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. [4] Her father Rehmat Khan came from a Pashtun family from Tank district, Dera Ismail Khan, while her mother Anna Rehmat was of English descent but settled in Peshawar. She is the granddaughter of Nawab of Tank Nawab Qutubdin Khan. [5] Her father worked for the Pakistan Air Force and the family had to relocate almost every two years depending upon his job assignment. Marina and Kehkashan Awan were childhood friends since their junior school days and both of them went to same the Karachi College. [1] In an interview, Khan said that due to constant relocation she did not have long-term childhood friends. [1]
Marina Khan made her debut in a PTV drama in honor of Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Pakistan's national hero from the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. She received her real breakthrough from the drama serial Tanhaiyaan in 1985. "Marina Khan rose to fame with Tanhaiyaan, which became a tremendous hit amongst Pakistani audiences." [6] However, later Marina took up directing and production as parts of her profession and also had her own cooking show. [6]
Khan is currently settled in Karachi also remains the goodwill representative of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). She hosted the show Marina Mornings (2007–08) on ARY Digital. [3] In 2016 she appeared in Mehreen Jabbar's short film Lala Begum. The film was premiered at Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival on 6 August 2016 under the Zeal for Unity banner. [7] She later made a cameo appearance in Punjab Nahi Jaongi (2017) and appeared in reoccurring roles in Na Maloom Afraad 2 (2018), and Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018). [8] [9] In the same year she appeared in Mehreen Jabbar's Eid telefilm Hum Chale Aaye. [10] As for television, Khan is currently active in Urdu television industry and appearing in various television dramas. Her most recent appearances includes Jackson Heights (2014), [11] Kaif-e-Baharan (2018), [12] Noor-ul-Ain (2018), [13] Qaid (2018), [14] Dil Kiya Karey (2018), [15] Bandish (2019) [16] and Aulaad (2020–21).

Haseena Moin was a Pakistani dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She wrote several plays for stage, radio, and television. She was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan Television's first original script Kiran Kahani aired in the early-1970s. Before this, PTV relied on novel-based scripts for dramas. She was considered to be the best playwright and dramatist in Urdu Pakistan has ever witnessed.
Dhoop Kinare is a Pakistani television series broadcast on PTV in 1987 and is now considered as one of the all-time favourite TV shows in Pakistan. The show centers on a team of doctors in a hospital in Karachi and revolves around their routines at the hospital and their private lives at home. The show starred Rahat Kazmi and Marina Khan in lead roles, was directed by Sahira Kazmi and written by Haseena Moin.
Mehreen Jabbar (born on 29 December 1971, is a Pakistani film and television director and producer based in New York City. She is a daughter of the Pakistani media-person Javed Jabbar. She is also the niece of Beo Zafar. Mehreen Jabbar is first cousin of the famous Pakistani-British singer, actor and director, Yasir Akhtar. Active since 1994, Jabbar established herself as one of the prolific directors of the television. Her work for 2008 TV series Doraha earned her Lux Style Award for Best TV Director.

Na Maloom Afraad, is a 2014 Pakistani action comedy film co-written and directed by Nabeel Qureshi in his directorial debut. It stars Javed Sheikh, Fahad Mustafa, Mohsin Abbas Haider with supporting cast of Urwa Hocane, Kubra Khan and Salman Shahid. The story follows Shakeel (Sheikh), Farhaan (Mustafa) and Moon (Haider), three poor struggling individuals who chase every possible means of becoming rich, all getting into trouble as they struggle to fulfill their desires and ambitions through questionably moral ways.
Syed Mohammad Ahmed, frequently credited as Mohammad Ahmed, is a Pakistani screenwriter, lyricist, actor, and director. Na Maloom Afraad 2 is a 2017 Pakistani action comedy film, co-written and directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza and Mehdi Ali. It is a sequel to Na Maloom Afraad (2014). The film stars Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Urwa Hocane reprising their roles from the previous film. New additions to the cast include Marina Khan and Hania Amir. While Nayyar Ejaz, Saleem Meraj and Nazr-ul-Hassan played the main antagonists.
