Marion Ross Fedrick is the current president of Albany State University. She was appointed in 2018, having had been the interim president since 2017. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia. [1]

The College of Saint Rose is a private Catholic college in Albany, New York. It was founded in 1920 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet as a women's college. It became fully co-educational in 1969. The following year, the college added laypersons to its board and became an independent college sponsored by the sisters. The Albany Academy is an independent college preparatory day school for boys in Albany, New York. It enrolls students from Preschool to Grade 12. It was established in 1813 by a charter signed by Mayor Philip Schuyler Van Rensselaer and the city council of Albany.
