Film career

Maris Vijay started his film career in 2013 when he began Miracle Waves Studio, a recording and mixing studio. He was approached by film director "Paarthi" to compose the score and soundtrack for his Tamil film, Vingyani. Maris debuted as a film composer from this film in 2014. [7] [8] [9]

In 2018, Maris sung a song in Villavan film. [10]

Additionally, Maris Vijay has worked on non-film projects that were influenced by musical composers like A. R. Rahman. He wrote songs for numerous schools' anthems. [11]

Shailey Bidwaikar along with Maris Vijay released her first Tamil song. [12]

Maris received Nation's Icon Award in 2022.[ citation needed ] [13]

"Mohe Rang Do Laal" is a song from the 2015 Bollywood film, Bajirao Mastani. It was composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Pandit Birju Maharaj. The lyrics were written by Siddharth-Garima. The song features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the video. Padukone took Kathak dance lessons from Pandit Birju Maharaj, who also choreographed the song. The movie was dubbed into Tamil and Telugu and hence the song was also released as "Podhai Nirathai Thaa" in Tamil and "Meera Chittachora" in Telugu on 15 December 2015. Shreya Ghoshal and Pandit Birju Maharaj sang in all the three versions of the song. The song was reprised in MTV Unplugged season 6 and was also sung by Ghoshal.

Master is the soundtrack album composed by Anirudh Ravichander, for the 2021 Indian Tamil-language film of the same name, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Xavier Britto under his production house XB Film Creators, starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. This film marks Anirudh's first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj and his second collaboration with Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi after Kaththi and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The soundtrack album features eight songs written by Arunraja Kamaraj, Gana Balachandar, Arivu, Vignesh Shivan, Vishnu Edavan and Bjorn Surrao, with three of them were released as singles. The tracks were released digitally through Sony Music on 15 March 2020. The film also features an extended soundtrack album with two songs "Vaathi Kabaddi" and "Master The Blaster" being released on 13 and 14 January 2021. Vada Chennai is the soundtrack album for the 2018 action crime film of the same name directed by Vetrimaaran, starring Dhanush in the lead role. The film featured music composed by Santhosh Narayanan in his maiden collaboration with Vetrimaaran. Vada Chennai also marks the 25th film of Santhosh Narayanan as a composer in his career. The album in its entirety was released on 23 September 2018 to positive response from critics and audiences. At the 12th Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards held in Chennai, Santhosh received an award for Best Music Director also for his work in Kaala and Pariyerum Perumal.
