Marita Skammelsrud Lund (born 29 January 1989) is a Norwegian footballer. She began as a midfielder, but for the Norway women's national football team she plays at right back and at her club, LSK Kvinner FK, she usually plays as central midfield. Lund has previously played for Lisleby FK, Skogstrand and Flyers and Vikings Singapore. She lived in Singapore for four years from 1997 until 2001. [2]
Lund has won 27 caps for Norway women's national football team, while scoring two goals. In October 2007 she was drafted into the senior squad for a match against Russia, aged 18, following an injury to Marit Fiane Christensen. [3] Lund then played for Norway at the 2008 Summer Olympics in China. [4] She also represented Norway in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where her pace and versatility were praised by the coach, [5] and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. [6]
Marita Skammelsrud Lund is the niece of Bent Skammelsrud, former captain of Rosenborg BK. [7]
Stabæk Fotball is a Norwegian professional football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Founded in 1912, the club's name is an archaic spelling of the suburban area Stabekk, from which it once originated. The club currently competes in the Norwegian first division, the second tier of Football in Norway. Their home stadium is the Nadderud Stadion after a three-year-long stay at the Telenor Arena. Their current chairman is Espen Moe. Bob Bradley is the current head coach of the club since taking over for the 2023 season.
Lyn 1896 Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club and a department of the sports club Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn based in Oslo, whose members also participate in Nordic skiing and orienteering. Until 2010, SFK Lyn had two football departments, one professional section and one amateur section. After the professional football department, FK Lyn, was bankrupted in 2010, the fans decided to support the amateur department, Lyn Fotball, instead. At club level she has previously represented Kolbotn, FC Gold Pride, Vålerenga Fotball Damer and Stabæk. With the Norwegian national team Gulbrandsen accrued 183 caps, scored 55 goals and won the 2000 Summer Olympics.
