Mark Braud (born June 21, 1973) is an American jazz trumpeter and band leader, who is a current leader of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band's New Orleans band, and Mark Braud's Jazz Giants. He has been a sideman for dozens of groups including Harry Connick, Jr., Dr. Michael White's Original Liberty Jazz Band, Henry Butler, and R&B singer Eddie Bo.
Braud began playing up the trumpet at age twelve. He comes from a long line of New Orleans musicians. He is the grandson of legendary trumpeter John "Picket" Brunious, Sr., and the nephew of jazz trumpeters and Preservation Hall Jazz Band leaders Wendell Brunious and John Brunious, Jr.. Braud is also a distant relative of Duke Ellington Orchestra bassist Wellman Braud and the Santiago family. He began playing the trumpet at age of twelve. He was a student of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He majored in jazz studies at the University of New Orleans. While studying there, he was chosen for the school's annual European tour. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is a New Orleans jazz band founded in New Orleans by tuba player Allan Jaffe in the early 1960s. The band derives its name from Preservation Hall in the French Quarter. In 2005, the Hall's doors were closed for a period of time due to Hurricane Katrina, but the band continued to tour.
Leroy Jones is a jazz trumpeter. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jones began playing trumpet at the age of ten, and by the time he was 12 was leading the Fairview Baptist Church Marching Band, a group of young musicians organized by jazz guitarist and banjo player Danny Barker. When the musicians' union forced Barker to disband the group in 1974, Jones became a union musician and took over the running of the group, renamed the Hurricane Brass Band, himself. In 1975 or 1976, he left the group, touring for a time with Eddie Vinson and Della Reese before forming his own group, the Leroy Jones Quintet. In 1991, Jones joined the big band of Harry Connick, Jr., and the exposure with Connick's band, led to Jones' releasing his first album under his own name; Mo' Cream From The Crop came out on the Columbia label in 1994. The Leroy Jones Quintet continues to tour and record, and since 2004 Jones has also appeared with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Dr. John.

The My New Orleans Tour was a 2007 concert tour by American singer, pianist, and actor Harry Connick Jr. backed by his big band. The tour promoted his albums Oh, My NOLA and Chanson du Vieux Carré. The first concert of the tour was on February 23, 2007 at the Mizner Park Amphitheatre in Boca Raton, Florida. The first part of the tour took place in the USA and Canada. The second part of the tour was in Europe, and in 2008 the tour came to Asia and Australia.
