Wasps Rugby Football Club was a professional rugby union team. They last played in Premiership Rugby, the top division of English rugby, until being suspended on 12 October 2022. On 17 October 2022, the club entered administration, resulting in relegation from the league and all staff being made redundant. They exited administration on 16 December 2022.
Martin Edward Corry MBE is a retired English rugby union player who represented and captained England and Leicester Tigers in a career spanning 14 seasons. Corry played 64 times for England between 1997 and 2007, played 7 tests for the British & Irish Lions on tours in 2001 & 2005, and played 290 times for Leicester between 1997 and 2009. Earlier in his career he played top division rugby for Newcastle Gosforth and Bristol. A versatile player his principal positions were number eight and blindside flanker, he also played lock more as his career progressed.
Kenneth McKerrow Logan is a retired Scottish rugby union player who played wing for Stirling County RFC and Glasgow District at amateur level; Glasgow Warriors, Wasps RFC professional level; and Scotland at international level. He won three English Premierships Heineken Cup with Wasps RFC; and one Scottish Premiership title with Stirling County RFC in 1995, just before the game turned professional.
Philip John Vickery MBE DL is a former English rugby union tighthead prop and member of the England squad. He was a member of England's World Cup winning squad in 2003, playing in all seven matches in the tournament, and is a former England captain. Vickery ended his club rugby career at London Wasps, joining the London side in 2006 after eleven years with Gloucester Rugby. Given the nickname "Raging Bull", he played in three Rugby World Cups, including as England captain in the 2007 tournament, and toured Australia and South Africa with the British & Irish Lions. Ayoola Erinle is known for being an England international rugby union player. He was educated at The Oratory School and at King's College London, representing both his school's 1st XV and the King's College Rugby Club's 1st XV. He played professional rugby for clubs such as Wasps RFC, Leicester Tigers and Biarritz Olympique, and later worked his way through the ranks to represent England in 2009. In 2013, upon retirement, Erinle returned to education, studying Engineering Physics at Loughborough University where he achieved a First Class master's degree.
Timothy Adam North Payne is a former English rugby union footballer who played at prop for London Wasps.
Paul William Volley is an English former rugby union player. As an open-side flanker, he played for London Wasps for 16 years. He joined as a 16-year-old from Chinnor. Volley was first called up to the senior England squad by Clive Woodward for the 2000 England rugby union tour of South Africa, and then again for the 2003 England rugby union tour of the Southern Hemisphere. However he was ultimately never capped at this level. He was also selected for England A on numerous occasions. He won Domestic and European competitions with London Wasps. This included helping them win the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 1999 and 2000; he was a replacement in the 1999 final but started in 2000. He also played in the 2002–03 Premiership Final and the 2003–04 Premiership Final, both of which were won by Wasps. After winning both the Zurich Premiership and Heineken Cup with Wasps in 2004, he headed across the Channel to play for Castres Olympique in France. He then returned to play for and captain Wasps' London rivals, Harlequins in 2006. In 2008 he signed a 2-year deal to play for RFU Championship side London Scottish.
Exeter Chiefs is an English professional rugby union club based in Exeter, Devon. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby.
