Mark Holmes (born October 28, 1964) is a Canadian sprint canoer who competed in the mid-1980s. He finished ninth in the K-4 1000 m event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. was an American jurist who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1902 to 1932. Holmes retired from the Court at the age of 90, an unbeaten record for oldest justice on the Supreme Court. He previously served as a Brevet Colonel in the American Civil War, in which he was wounded three times, as an associate justice and chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and as Weld Professor of Law at his alma mater, Harvard Law School.
