Mark Salmon (born 23 February 1927 in Pontypridd) is a former Welsh professional darts player who competed in both the British Darts Organisation and Professional Darts Corporation circuits. Salmon was inspired to play darts by Leighton Rees, the first World Champion and played with flights bearing Leighton's face in his honour.
Salmon played in the 1996 BDO World Darts Championship, losing in the first round 3–0 to Roland Scholten. A month later, Salmon won the Scottish Open, beating fellow Welshman Sean Palfrey in the final. Salmon never progressed further in the BDO and in 2005 he began playing in PDC where he qualified for the 2006 PDC World Darts Championship, beating Rod Harrington and Owen Caffrey to qualify. He was beaten in the first round 3–2 by Dennis Smith. Salmon struggled on the PDC circuit, failing to qualify for the UK Open and the World Matchplay.
After failing to qualify for the 2007 World Championship, Salmon moved back to the BDO and qualified for the 2009 BDO World Darts Championship, taking one of the non-seeded places. He was drawn against Darryl Fitton in the first round and lost all nine legs in a 3–0 defeat.

Roland Scholten is a Dutch former professional darts player who played in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO). Nicknamed The Tripod and The Flying Dutchman, Scholten turned full-time professional in 2001 having previously worked as a publican. Despite his Dutch nationality, Scholten speaks with a strong English accent having lived in Peterborough for several years. His considerable height and throwing technique meant his darts hit the board at a considerably narrow angle.
John Michael Walton is an English professional darts player currently playing in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He is best known for winning the 2001 BDO World Darts Championship. He adopted the nickname John Boy and used the song "Cotton Eye Joe" by Rednex as his walk-on theme.
Tony David is an Australian former professional darts player, who played under the nickname The Deadly Boomerang. He is the only Australian player to have been a senior singles world darts champion, having won the 2002 Embassy World Championship.

Jamie Harvey is a Scottish former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments. Originally nicknamed “The Tartan Terror” he later used the nickname Bravedart for his matches – a play on the lead character from the film Braveheart. As darts began to introduce entrance tunes for its players during the 1990s, Harvey used to come to stage whilst the tune "The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond" was played.

He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event.

The 2009 Grand Slam of Darts ITV Wildcard Qualifier was the qualifying event for the 2009 Grand Slam of Darts which was held at the Magnum Centre in Irvine on 6 November 2009. 21st seed Steve Maish won the event after beating unseeded Arron Monk 5-3 in the final.
