Markus Herrmann

Markus Herrmann (born 1972) is a retired Swiss alpine skier.

He competed in two events at the 1990 Junior World Championships and all five events at the 1991 Junior World Championships, his best placement being the 8th place in the 1991 downhill event. Herrmann also competed in the World Championships of 1996, 1997 and 1999, recording one 14 place and two 20th places. [1]

He made his World Cup debut in January 1993 in Veysonnaz. He collected his first World Cup points with a 10th place in the January 1995 Kitzbühel downhill, and then managed a 5th place in the December 1995 Gröden downhill. After that, his best placements were five 8th places in downhill and combined. A prolific World Cup competitor, his last World Cup outing came in January 2003 in Kitzbühel. [1]

Franz Heinzer is a former alpine ski racer, who specialized in downhill. He was World Cup champion in downhill three consecutive seasons, second only to Franz Klammer. He won a total of 15 World Cup downhill races, fourth behind Klammer (25), Peter Müller (19) and Stephan Eberharter (18). Together with Franz Klammer, Toni Sailer, Jean Claude Killy, Karl Schranz and Stephan Eberharter, he is considered among the best downhill racers of all time. He also won the season title in Super-G in 1991.

Ole Kristian Furuseth is a retired Norwegian alpine skier. He scored his first World Cup victory in Furano in 1989 and his final World Cup victory in Bormio in 2000, and in total he has three World Cup victories in giant slalom and six in slalom. Furuseth won a bronze medal in the slalom competition at the 1991 World Championships in Saalbach, and a silver medal at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano.

Mario Scheiber is an Austrian former skier who competed in all World Cup disciplines apart from slalom. He first started in a World Cup race on March 15, 2003, in Lillehammer. In the 2005–06 season he participated in only one race because of a training injury. However, he had a successful comeback in the 2006–07 season, finishing in podium positions several times.
