The Weather Channel (TWC) is an American pay television channel owned by Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group and The Weather Co. The channel's headquarters are in Atlanta. Launched on May 2, 1982, the channel broadcasts weather forecasts and weather-related news and analysis, along with documentaries and entertainment programming related to weather. A sister network, Weatherscan, was a digital cable and satellite service that offered 24-hour automated local forecasts and radar imagery. Weatherscan was officially shut down on December 9, 2022. The Weather Channel also produces outsourced weathercasts, notably for CBS News and RFD-TV.
XM Satellite Radio (XM) was one of the three satellite radio (SDARS) and online radio services in the United States and Canada, operated by Sirius XM Holdings. It provided pay-for-service radio, analogous to subscription cable television. Its service included 73 different music channels, 39 news, sports, talk and entertainment channels, 21 regional traffic and weather channels, and 23 play-by-play sports channels. Americas Tower, also known as 1177 Avenue of the Americas, is a 50-story, 692-foot skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at Sixth Avenue and 45th Street. Construction began in 1989 and was expected to be completed in 1991. This schedule was altered when construction was halted in December 1989 due to lawsuits. In February 1991, construction resumed. Swanke Hayden Connell Architects designed the tower in a mixture of the art deco and postmodern styles. The facade is made of polished reddish-pink granite. The tower was sold in 2002 for US$ 500 million to a group of German-American investors.
Kevin Clark is a former commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department, who held the position from early 2003 until November 2004. A former NYPD officer, Clark's term as police commissioner was strained with both the mayor and police department as Clark was involved in domestic issues and an unpopular turnover of veteran officers such as former Major Gary D'Addario. He was fired by then-mayor Martin O'Malley, resulting in a lawsuit in which he sought $120 million in damages and fought to get back his job. O'Malley's justification for the firing had been that these accusations were distracting to his duties as a commissioner.

The network's studio facilities, along with its headquarters and master control facilities are located in the Denver suburb of Centennial, Colorado, sharing production facilities with sister network Real America's Voice.
