Martin Buehler

Martin Buehler is an electrical engineer working at Johnson and Johnson. He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2015 [1] for his contributions to metrology through development of semiconductor process control test structures, gas sensors, and radiation detectors.

Buehler is also known for the co-development of Roomba and was a lead developer of BigDog at Boston Dynamics. In 2018, he joined Alex Vardakostas to develop a robot named "Creator" which whose function would be to flip burgers at various fast food restaurants such as Chick-fil-A. [2]

He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2015 for his development of safety solutions for electronic equipment. He studied engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, and did his doctoral work at UNSW and Okayama University, Japan. His work has resulted in patents, inventions, and publications. He has received many awards, including the IEEE Millennium Medal and the David Robinson Award from Engineers Australia.

Vivek K Goyal is an American engineering professor, author, and inventor. He is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University (BU). He was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2014 for contributions to information representations and their applications in acquisition, communication, and estimation. He was named OSA Fellow in the 2020 class for outstanding inventions in computational imaging and sensing, including unprecedented demonstrations of the utility of weak, mixed, and indirect optical measurements. He is also a member of the IEEE Information Theory Society.

Martin Haenggi is the Frank M. Freimann Professor of electrical engineering at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2014 for his contributions to the spatial modeling and analysis of wireless networks.

Mari Ostendorf is a professor of electrical engineering in the area of speech and language technology and the vice provost for research at the University of Washington.

Herbert Graves Winful is a Ghanaian-American engineering professor, whose honours include in 2020 the Quantum Electronics Award. He is the Joseph E. and Anne P. Rowe Professor of Electrical Engineering, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Professor of Physics at the University of Michigan.
