Martin Steger (born 20 October 1948) is a former Swiss cyclist. He competed in the team pursuit event at the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1]

Germany competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Germany returned to the Olympic Games after not being invited to both the 1920 and 1924 Games. Despite a total absence of 16 years since 1912, German athletes were ranked 2nd. 295 competitors, 260 men and 35 women, took part in 95 events in 16 sports.

The Age Book of the Year Awards were annual literary awards presented by Melbourne's The Age newspaper. The awards were first presented in 1974. After 1998, they were presented as part of the Melbourne Writers Festival. Initially, two awards were given, one for fiction, the other for non-fiction work, but in 1993, a poetry award in honour of Dinny O'Hearn was added. The criteria were that the works be "of outstanding literary merit and express Australian identity or character," and be published in the year before the award was made. One of the award-winners was chosen as The Age Book of the Year. The awards were discontinued in 2013. In 2021 The Age Book of the Year was revived as a fiction prize, with the winner announced at the Melbourne Writers Festival.

The 1923 Michigan football team was an American football team that represented the University of Michigan during the 1923 Big Ten Conference football season. In their 23rd year under head coach Fielding H. Yost, Michigan compiled an undefeated 8–0 record, tied for the Big Ten Conference football championship, and outscored its opponents by a combined total of 150 to 12. The season was part of a 20-game undefeated streak for Michigan that began on October 29, 1921, and continued until October 18, 1924. During the combined 1922 and 1923 seasons, Yost's teams compiled a 14–0–1 record.

Steger School District 194 is a school district based in the village of Steger, Illinois, a Chicago suburb located in the extreme southern reaches of Cook County, and the northern portion of Will County. The district is composed of one middle school and three elementary schools; all schools are located in Steger with the exception of one. District students in grades that range between kindergarten and fourth grade attend one of the three elementary schools. Two elementary schools, named Eastview Elementary School and Parkview Elementary School, are located in the village of Steger; they are directed by, respectively, principals Janet Inglese and Stephanie Winborn. A third elementary school, Saukview Elementary School, is located in the nearby village South Chicago Heights and is headed by principal Jeff Nelson. All three elementary schools feed their graduates into Columbia Central School, where the students will remain between grades six and eight under jurisdiction of principal Mike Smith. The district superintendent is Jeff Stawick.
