Martin Svensson also known as Martin (born 11 March 1978) is a Swedish singer, author and musician.

Music

He started as a solo artist. His debut single "Rymdraket" from his 1997 debut album Pojkdrömmar. His biggest hit remains though "(Du är så) Yeah Yeah Wow Wow", a song he wrote himself and sang at Melodifestivalen 1999 in a bid to represent Sweden in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest in Jerusalem. He finished 4th overall, but the single reached the top of the Swedish Singles Chart. There was also an English version of the song entitles "(You Are So) Yeah Yeah Wow Wow".

He also took part in Melodifestivalen 2002 with the song "Du och jag (i hela världen)", but was eliminated from first round finishing seventh in day 2 of the competition. In 2003, he formed a Swedish rock band called Nina Rochelle

Martin Svensson also began a career as a writer with Hej! Mitt namn var Elton Persson (Hello! My name vas Elton Persson) followed up by Din heder (Meryem's honour) in 2009. [1]

Personal life

Svensson was born in Kalmar, Sweden. His family moved to Varberg in 1981.

In 1998, Svensson met Swedish-Kurdish pop singer Dilbihar Demirbag known as Dilba at a party, and they later married in the summer of 2000. A divorce was filed in 2002.

Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It purchased the rights to the name from a band that started as Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett in 1957. When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name Wizex. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Today's band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point.

It finished in 4th place overall. The lyrics are critical of the advertising profession. Martin also made an English language version with the title of "(You Are So) Yeah Yeah Wow Wow".

Leif Bloms was a dansband in Växjö in Sweden. scoring chart successes at the Swedish album chart during the mid-late 1970s. On 31 December 1995 the band was disbanded after singing and playing together for almost 40 years. Starting with the 1981 album Håll dig kvar, the band's singer was Mona Gustafsson, who wrote the band's 1992 song "Dej ska jag älska all min tid" which won the 1992 Hänt song contest in Älvsjö. After the band was disbanded, Mona Gustafsson, Patrik Ahlm and René Saulesco founded another dansband, Mona G:s orkester.
