Van Buren is the second largest city in the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area and the county seat of Crawford County, Arkansas, United States. Martin Van Buren National Historic Site is a unit of the United States National Park Service in Columbia County, New York, 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Kinderhook, 125 miles (201 km) north of New York City and 20 miles (32 km) south of Albany. The National Historic Site preserves the Lindenwald estate and thirty-six room mansion of Martin Van Buren, the eighth President of the United States. Van Buren purchased the estate during his presidency in 1839, and it became his home and farm from his retirement in 1841 until his death in 1862.
Claude and Starck was an architectural firm in Madison, Wisconsin, at the turn of the twentieth century. The firm was a partnership of Louis W. Claude (1868-1951) and Edward F. Starck (1868-1947). Established in 1896, the firm dissolved in 1928. The firm designed over 175 buildings in Madison.
Van Buren Township is one of four townships in Brown County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,008 and it contained 941 housing units. The township includes the southern portion of Brown County State Park.

The Polygonal Barn, Van Buren Township was a historic building located in Van Buren Township in rural Jackson County, Iowa, United States. It was built in 1920 by Gus Klenney as a sale barn. They house livestock that are shown and sold to buyers. It is not known what livestock were sold here. The building was octagonal in shape and measured 50 feet (15 m) in diameter. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The structure has subsequently been torn down.
The Van Buren County Courthouse located in Keosauqua, Iowa, United States, was built in 1843. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 as a part of the County Courthouses in Iowa Thematic Resource. It is the only building the county has used as its courthouse, and it is the oldest courthouse in Iowa. In 1845 the courthouse served as the location for a trial resulting in the first death penalty in Iowa history.

The Abner Martin House, also known as The Pat Murphy Place, is a historic residence located south of Mount Zion, Iowa, United States. Abner Martin was a farmer and an early settler in Van Buren County. He originally arrived in Van Buren County in 1836. Abner & Lousia Martin began building the home in 1856 and completed construction in 1858. Abner Martin is said to have gone to California during the gold rush and obtained sufficient gold to return to Iowa and build his brick home. The house has a 3-foot-thick foundation, and all bricks were made on the property. A "tally brick" which told how many bricks were made in a specific day was found on the property. It reads 2,118.
The Martin Van Buren Parker House is a historic house in Olathe, Kansas, U.S.. It was built in 1869 for Martin Van Buren Parker, a lawyer, his wife Emma, and their five children. Emma's brother was John St. John, who went on to serve as the 8th Governor of Kansas from 1879 to 1883. It remained in the Parker family until 1960, and it was restored by the new owners in the 1980s. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 20, 1988.
