Martin White is an English musician, comedian and animator. As well as performing solo with an accordion around the London comedy circuit, White also fronts the Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra and the Karaoke Circus live bands. [1] [2] He performs jingles regularly in the comedy podcast Answer Me This!. [3]

White co-wrote Psister Psycho – a musical about a killer robotic lesbian nun – with Danielle Ward for the 2007 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show was nominated for the Chortle Award for Best Full Length Show 2008. [4]

With Ward, White co-presented Dave Gorman's Sunday morning show on Absolute Radio, where White performed an improvised song, covering as many of the topics discussed on that week's show as possible, accompanied by a range instruments such as the accordion. His contract was not renewed by Absolute, and he left the show in April 2012. [5] [6]

The Chortle awards were set up in 2002 by the comedy website Chortle to honour the best of established stand-up comics currently working in the UK. As of 2002, the Chortle Awards are the only UK-based awards that solely honour the live work of stand-up comedians at a professional level. A panel of reviewers draw up a shortlist, which is presented for public vote at the Chortle website.

Jon Joel Richardson is an English comedian. He is known for his appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and his work as co-host with Russell Howard on BBC 6 Music. He is presenter of Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, and also featured with his wife in the TV show Meet the Richardsons.

Karaoke Circus

Karaoke Circus is a British Karaoke night where guest singers from the world of comedy compete alongside members of the public for a coveted prize. Sometimes called 'Ward & White's Karaoke Circus', the show was started by composer Martin White and stand-up comedian Danielle Ward in October 2008 at The Albany, Great Portland Street, London. It has since been held at the 100 Club, The Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, Ginglik, Royal Vauxhall Tavern and at The Edinburgh Fringe.

James 'Foz' Foster is an English composer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead guitarist in the art-rock band, David Devant and his Spirit Wife, and in the 1983-5 incarnation of The Monochrome Set. Foster also plays guitar, musical saw and vibraslap in the house band of Karaoke Circus and occasional saw in Martin White's Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra. He plays ukulele and other instruments as part of the double-act, Foster and Gilvan, and is also musical director of Sawchestra – a band of musical saw players who perform Foster's compositions to accompany silent films.

She was nominated in 2011 for Best Newcomer at the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut solo show, Lady Cariad's Characters. She also won the Edtwinge award for most positively tweeted-about show during the Fringe. She is a member of the improvisational comedy group Austentatious and teaches improv.

<i>Hypothetical</i> (TV series)

Hypothetical is a British television comedy panel show created by British comedian Josh Widdicombe, with Tom Craine and Matthew Crosby. Widdicombe hosts the show alongside fellow comedian James Acaster. The TV series features teams of celebrity guests, who are presented with a bizarre hypothetical situation by Widdicombe. The guests must explain how they would deal with the situation, following the rules given by Acaster, who then awards points based on how well he thinks they have done. The show was first broadcast on Dave on 6 February 2019.
