In 1994 and 1995 Marvel, in partnership with Fleer, released the "Marvel Annual Flair" sets of collectible trading cards. These consisted primarily of art taken from comics, re-colored with computer coloring techniques, and printed on thick, glossy, card stock.
The base set consists of 149 cards + the checklist. There are 18 "PowerBlast" chase cards which have foil on one side and a larger portion of the same image, without foil, on the other side. An error occurs in the set wherein no #6 card exists, but 2 #8 cards: Iron Man (which is listed on the checklist as #6) and the real card #8 Vulture. The "PowerBlast" set is made of #1 Cable, #2 Cyclops, #3 Iron Man, #4 Magneto, #5 Phoenix, #6 Storm, #7 Venom, #8 Wolverine, #9 Ghost Rider, #10 Punisher, #11 Captain America, #12 Gambit, #13 Thor, #14 Silver Surfer, #15 Spider-Man, #16 Deadpool, #17 Invisible Woman and #18 Dr. Doom.
The base set consists of 149 cards + the checklist. For chase cards, there are 24 PowerBlast chase cards of the same style as the 1994 ones. This set also included 3 "DuoBlast" cards which have a different character on each side (I.e. Iron Man and War Machine). Another first for a Marvel set are the "HoloBlasts" which show 2 characters fighting, but one character is printed normally, and the other is a hologram. There are also 12 chromium cards. An official binder was also produced for the set.

The game was initially launched in August 1995. In the game, two players went head-to-head with teams of four heroes and villains. Unlike most other collectible card games of the mid-1990s, OverPower was very distinct strategically and structurally different from Magic: The Gathering.
DC vs. Marvel is a comic book miniseries intercompany crossover published by DC Comics and Marvel Comics from February to May 1996. Each company would publish two issues of the miniseries, thus the title difference between issues #1 and 4 as DC vs. Marvel Comics from DC and issues #2–3 from Marvel as Marvel Comics vs. DC. The miniseries was written by Ron Marz and Peter David, with art by Dan Jurgens and Claudio Castellini.
Shadowfist was created by Robin Laws and Jose Garcia. It was released in June 1995 as a collectible card game (CCG), but was shifted to a fixed distribution of cards as of 2013. It shares the same background as the Feng Shui, a role-playing game created by Laws and Garcia and released the following year. In September 2018 ownership of Shadowfist switched to Vetusta Games.
The Harry Potter Trading Card Game is an out-of-print collectible card game based in the world of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels. Created by Wizards of the Coast in August 2001, the game was designed to compete with the Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering card games. Its release was timed to coincide with the theatrical premiere of the first film in the series. The game was praised for the way it immersed children in the Harry Potter universe. At one point the game was the second best selling toy in the United States; however, it is now out of print.
Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game is an out-of-print trading card game based on the Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama. The game was produced by Score Entertainment and uses screen captures of the anime to attempt to recreate the famous events and battles seen in the anime. Score then sold the rights to Panini which eventually ceased publishing.
On The Edge is an out-of-print collectible card game released in 1994, not long after Magic: The Gathering. The setting and characters were based on the RPG titled Over the Edge. The game's story was set on an island in the southern Mediterranean called Al Amarja, where various factions were fighting for control.

Jedi Knights Trading Card Game is an out-of-print collectible card game set in the Star Wars Universe and published by Decipher, Inc. on April 25, 2001. Two expansion packs, titled Scum and Villainy and Masters of the Force, were produced before the end of 2001. Shortly after their release, Decipher lost the license to utilize material from the Star Wars franchise and was forced to discontinue the game.

Marvel Duel is a mobile collectible card game developed and published by NetEase in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment. It is a multiplayer game available for both Android and iOS, in which the players battle each other using cards representing characters from the Marvel Universe. Like NetEase's other Marvel title Marvel Super War, this game is not a global release and is only available in select countries, launching in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia and later expanding to Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The game is free-to-play with a game shop that sells packs and cards in addition to various cosmetic items.
