Mary Milne is a singer-songwriter from Bancroft, Ontario and Toronto, Ontario. A self-taught musician and producer, Milne is known for her unique voice which has been described as "wonderfully imprecise". [1] Her first demo, Sister Rodeo, was released in 2006 followed by the EP Don't You Know I Love The Leavin' in 2009. In 2011, her song "Already Gone" from the Canadian feature film The Trotsky [2] won a Genie Award for Best Achievement in Music - Original Song.
From 2012 to 2016, her song "Shadows and Lights" was used in an international ad campaign for Ikea.
In 2017, she worked with Diabetes Canada and music production house Eggplant Collective crafting the words of people suffering from diabetes into the song "Brave Faces" as part of the Canadian diabetes association rebranding into Diabetes Canada.
In 2018, her song "On Your Side" was used in a commercial for Mercedes Benz.
She is the granddaughter of Canadian painter David Milne.

"Night Is Young" is a song by Canadian recording artist Nelly Furtado. It was written by Furtado, Salaam Remi and StayBent Krunk-a-Delic, and produced by the latter pair for Furtado's greatest hits compilation album, The Best of Nelly Furtado (2010). The song follows a dance and electronic style, which Furtado said that she is happy with because she never had a straightforward dance-pop song. The lyrics to the song were written by Furtado, who said it is "not necessarily a love song" but is about "having a good time and enjoying life."

A Place to Stand is a 1967 film produced and edited by the Canadian artist and filmmaker Christopher Chapman for the Ontario pavilion at Expo 67 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. For the film, he pioneered the concept of moving panes, of moving images, within the single context of the screen. At times there are 15 separate images moving at once. This technique, which he dubbed "multi-dynamic image technique" has since been employed in many films, notably Norman Jewison's 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. Mr. Jewison has credited Mr. Chapman as the creator of the edit style. The technique can also be seen more recently on television in the series 24.
