Masood Kamandy (born 1981) is an American contemporary artist. Kamandy participated in dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel, Germany, where he presented an installation stemming from his work with students in the photography department at Kabul University, which he helped establish in 2002. [1]
Kamandy received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
He helped found the first photography department at the University of Kabul (2002–05) and was invited to participate in dOCUMENTA (13), as well as group exhibitions at the UCLA New Wight Gallery, Los Angeles (2011), and the Control Room, Los Angeles (2011). Kamandy was included in the American Photography Annual (2010, 2008) and is an Art Director's Club "Young Gun" (2006). [2] [3]
Kamandy is an instructor in the Digital Media area of Pasadena City College.

Jody Zellen is an American artist and educator. Her practice involves digital art, painting, video art and drawing and is known for her interactive installations, public art, curated exhibitions and art criticism. She employs media-generated representations as raw material for aesthetic and social investigations that combine text and image. Zellen's artistic practice ranges from mobile apps, net art and digital animation to drawing, painting, photography and artists' books. Jack Hooper was an American painter, muralist, sculptor, printmaker and art educator. Hooper was a major figure on the Southern California art scene, belonging to that generation of Los Angeles painters who matured during the late 1950s and the 1960s, painters such as John Altoon, Sam Amato, Robert Irwin, Lee Mullican, William Brice and Billy Al Bengston. He was an innovator in the use of new materials, most importantly plastic in art. He is known for abstract expressionist, mural and figurative painting. Hooper has exhibited in art museums and galleries nationally and internationally including solo shows in Europe, Mexico and the United States. Modeling renown UCLA art professor and figurative artist, Jan Stussy, the last 20 years of his life were spent in rural Mexico, where he drew and painted every single day until his death.
The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, located on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles, is “the first school of music to be established in the University of California system.” Established in 2007 under the purview of the UCLA School of Arts and Architecture and the UCLA Division of Humanities, the UC Board of Regents formally voted in January 2016 to establish the school.[1] Supported in part by a $30 million endowment from the Herb Alpert Foundation.[1]
