Mass were an England post-punk band. The band consisted of Gary Asquith, Mick Allen, Mark Cox, and Danny Briottet. Asquith, Allen and Cox had been members of Rema-Rema. [1] [2] Mass released a 7" single, "You And I", in 1980 on the 4AD label. [3] [4] They released the Labour of Love LP in 1981, also on 4AD, which saw comparisons made with Joy Division and The Birthday Party. [4] It spent five weeks on the UK Indie Chart, peaking at number 19. [1]

Mass broke up in 1981. [5] Allen and Cox formed The Wolfgang Press in 1983, [3] while Asquith and Briottet went on to form Renegade Soundwave in 1986. Labour of Love was reissued on CD in November 2005, with the two tracks from the single included. It was reissued on vinyl by Desire Records in 2011.

The Raincoats are a British experimental post-punk band. Ana da Silva and Gina Birch formed the group in 1977 while they were students at Hornsey College of Art in London.

The group disbanded in 1987, only to reform two years later and then disband after another two years (1991). They reunited again in 1995 and have continued in various lineups since that time.

Eyeless In Gaza are an English musical duo of Martyn Bates and Peter Becker, based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. They have described their music as "veer[ing] crazily from filmic ambiance to rock and pop, industrial funk to avant-folk styles." Formed in 1980, the group went into hiatus in 1987, re-emerging in 1993.
