Restless Heart was an American country music band established in 1984. The band's longest-tenured lineup consisted of Larry Stewart, John Dittrich, Paul Gregg, Dave Innis, and Greg Jennings. Record producer Tim DuBois assembled the band to record demos and chose Verlon Thompson as the original lead singer, but he was replaced by Stewart in this role before the band had recorded any material. Between 1984 and 1998, Restless Heart recorded for RCA Records Nashville, releasing the albums Restless Heart, Wheels, Big Dreams in a Small Town, Fast Movin' Train, Big Iron Horses, and Matters of the Heart. Stewart left for a solo career before Big Iron Horses, which resulted in Dittrich, Innis, and Gregg rotating as lead vocalists in his absence. Innis also departed before Matters of the Heart, and the band ultimately went on hiatus from 1995 to 1998. During this time, Jennings became a member of Vince Gill's road band and Dittrich recorded one album in the band The Buffalo Club. Outside a brief reunion for new tracks on a Greatest Hits album in 1998, the band remained inactive until 2003, when Dittrich, Gregg, Innis, Jennings, and Stewart resumed touring. Two years later, they issued Still Restless on Audium Entertainment. The band dissolved in 2021, and Stewart began recording as a member of The Frontmen.
The Buffalo Club was an American country music group from Nashville, Tennessee. The group was composed of Ron Hemby, John Dittrich, and Charlie Kelley. Hemby was a vocalist in the Christian group The Imperials, Kelley played guitar for Doug Stone, and Dittrich had left his role as the drummer in the band Restless Heart. The Buffalo Club released a self-titled album on the Rising Tide Records label in 1997 and charted three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts that year, including "If She Don't Love You" at number nine. The album received generally positive reviews for the band's use of vocal harmony, with many critics comparing their sound favorably to the Eagles. Dittrich quit in August 1997, with Hemby and Kelley briefly continuing as a duo before disbanding by year's end. Afterward, Dittrich rejoined Restless Heart while Kelley and Hemby started other projects.
Secret Love is the seventh studio album by Lorrie Morgan, released in 1998. She dedicated this album to her late father, George Morgan. The album includes cover versions of pop standards. It peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Country Album chart.
Outside the Frame is the second album by Canadian country music singer Paul Brandt. The album has been certified Platinum by the CRIA. It was his first solo release, as he had left his role as lead singer of the band Restless Heart a year before. The album was released in 1993 on RCA Records Nashville and it produced three singles for him on the Billboard country charts: "Alright Already" at number five, "I'll Cry Tomorrow" at number 34 and "We Can Love" at number 62. Also included is "When I Close My Eyes", a number two hit in 1997 for Kenny Chesney.

This album reunited all of the members save for keyboardist Dave Innis, and after its release, Restless Heart disbanded again until 2004's Still Restless.
