Matthew Miele is an American director of both documentary and narrative films. He is best known for Always at The Carlyle (2018), Harry Benson: Shoot First (2016) and Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's (2013). [2] [3]

Other films include Last Night in New York (2022), about the life of New York Social Diary's David Patrick Columbia and the social, historical and cultural domain of NYC that he has been reporting on for decades, [4] as well as Crazy About Tiffany's (2016). [5]

Most recently, Miele released his authorized documentary about filmmaker Alan J. Pakula titled Alan Pakula: Going for Truth on Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV and Google Play. [6] The film features Pakula collaborators such as Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Julia Roberts, Harrison Ford, Jane Fonda, Dustin Hoffman, and Jeff Bridges. [7]

Upcoming films include Finding Satoshi, an investigative documentary diving into the origins of Bitcoin and its mysterious alleged creator known as Satoshi Nakamoto. [8] He has untitled documentaries about costume designer Bob Mackie, American television writer Alan Zweibel, and screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky currently in production. [9] [10] [11]

He is the writer and director of Gentleman Gangster (2010), Eavesdrop (2008) and Everything's Jake (2000).[ citation needed ]

The film is based on a set of aspiring lawyers who compete in the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition by representing the top law schools from their respective nations and they turn up for the event which is held in Gaborone, Botswana for a duration of one week at the African Court of Human Rights where social topics are taken up for debates which are deemed as fictional court cases. According to The Africa Report, it was ranked among top ten most notable African films of 2022.
