Matti Jokinen (born 8 February 1936 in Turku, died 5 October 2004 in Espoo) was a sailor from Finland, who represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Ontario, Canada as helmsman in the Soling. With crew members Matti Paloheimo and Reijo Laine they finished in 18th place. [2]
Matti Ensio Nykänen was a Finnish ski jumper who competed from 1981 to 1991. He is one of the most successful ski jumpers of all time, having won five Winter Olympic medals, nine World Championship medals, and 22 Finnish Championship medals. Most notably, he won three gold medals at the 1988 Winter Olympics, becoming, along with Yvonne van Gennip of the Netherlands, the most medaled athlete that winter.

He previously held the franchise records for most goals, assists, and points for the Florida Panthers.
Ski jumping at the 1988 Winter Olympics consisted of three events held from 14 February to 24 February, taking place at Canada Olympic Park.
