Mauro Boselli (born 30 August 1953 in Milan) is an Italian comic book writer and editor. He is also a novelist, screenwriter, and essayist.

Career

He joined the staff of Sergio Bonelli Editore in 1984, writing for popular comics titles such as Mister No and Zagor . [2] He became chief editor of the latter in 1993. [2] In 2000 he co-created together with Maurizio Colombo the horror series Dampyr . [2] [3]

Ha has been chief editor of Tex since 2012 and launched a new series titled Tex Willer in 2018. [4]

In 2022, he wrote with Mauro Uzzeo, Giovanni Masi and Alberto Ostini the film adaptation of Dampyr, directed by Riccardo Chemello. [5] [6]

Mister No is an Italian comic book, first published in Italy in 1975 by Sergio Bonelli Editore. Mister No was created by writer Sergio Bonelli artist Gallieno Ferri in Spring 1975. Bonelli published under the pseudonym Guido Nolitta. The regular monthly series endured for 379 publications, and the last issue was published in December 2006. Three special issues were made from 2006 to 2009.

The International Cartoonists Exhibition is an annual art exhibition held in Rapallo, Liguria, Italy. Founded in 1972, it was one of the earliest Italian exhibitions devoted to comics. Tex and the Lord of the Deep is a 1985 Western film co-written and directed by Duccio Tessari and starring Giuliano Gemma and William Berger. The film is an adaptation of the Tex comic series that were popular in Italy. Previously attempted to be made into a production in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the film was eventually made by Tessari who adapted the film from the comics originally to be a pilot for a television series.
