The Maverick Men, also known as Cole and Hunter, are gay pornographic actors and a real life couple. They made their start as Xtube amateurs before moving onto mainstream pornography.[ citation needed ]

Beginnings

The Maverick Men made a name for themselves their own free channel on Xtube before they were contacted by Xtube administrators about the possibility of becoming Xtube amateurs. With over 100,000,000 views they quickly became one of the most notable gay channels on Xtube, which helped launch their careers into mainstream gay pornography.[ citation needed ]

Transition to mainstream pornography

After a two-year period as Xtube amateurs they crossed over into mainstream pornography with Manhunt. Manhunt and its parent company Online Buddies Inc, picked up the Maverick Men as their sponsors and created a partnership to launch Cole and Hunter's own website.[ citation needed ]

In 2013, Chris Crocker appeared in a Tosh.0 episode, "Redemption Reunion Spectacular - Where are they now?", which noted his porn debut with the Maverick Men. [1]

In 2010 the Maverick Men released a memoir through Amazon titled Maverick Men: The True Story Behind the Videos. The book was published by InGroup Press, and written by Cole and Hunter with editor Anthony DiFiore. [2] [3]
