The Badiul Alam Khokon-directed Priya Amar Priya (2008) in which Khan played a college student with careless attitude, was a major commercial success in his career, which set several box office records. It is the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of 2008 and also one of the highest grossing Bangladeshi films of all-time. And also the highest grossing film of Khan's career until it was surpassed by his 2023 all-time blockbuster Priyotoma. After the release of the film, Khan gained widespread fame shortly and gained a large number of fan following. He is popularly known in the media as "King Khan" and "King of Dhallywood", also referred as "Number One Shakib Khan". Currently he is the highest paid actor in Bangladesh.
Password is a 2019 Bangladeshi action-thriller film directed by Malek Afsari. The film is produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of SK Films. It features Shakib Khan as Rudra, who, through his autistic younger brother Rusho, played by Emon, comes into possession of the password to a Swiss bank account. Misha Sawdagor stars as Victor, a gangster trying to steal the password. Shabnom Bubly features as Rudra's love interest, Dr. Shabnom. The movie is loosely based on the 2010 French movie Point Blank.

No Dorai is a 2019 Bangladeshi drama film directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu. Set in Cox's Bazar, the story of No Dorai is based on the life of a young Bangladeshi girl, who defies society's norms to follow her dream of becoming a surfer. It is the first Bangladeshi surfing film. No Dorai literally means "not afraid" in Chittagonian dialect. It features Sunerah Binte Kamal and Sariful Razz in lead roles.

Lal Sobujer Sur is a 2016 Bangladeshi film directed by Mushfikur Rahman Guljar and starring Subrata Barua, Jhuna Chowdhury, Rafiqullah Selim, Shera Zaman and Omar Sani. The screenplay by Faridur Reza Sagar is based on his novel of the same name. Sagar also produced the film. The film is set in 1971 during the Bangladesh liberation war. It was released on 16 December 2016.

It feature Shakib Khan, Sahara and Ayesha Salma Mukti in lead roles. Misha Sawdagor, Sadek Bachchu, Ali Raj and others also played important roles in the film. It is the first digital film starring by Shakib Khan. It was remake of 2002 Hindi film Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge starring by Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen.

From his early career in Television industry he is famous for making Drama Series."Syed Barir Bou" was the first and most popular drama serial which was aired on ATN Bangla. Bangladeshi Actress Pori Moni made her first debut on "Second Innings" Drama Serial which was Directed by Idris Haider. He is the chairman of record label company Wow Play TV. His recent film "Nil Foring" is awaited to be released on 2021 which is delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. As he announced in media he is going to make another film "Amar Shonar Bangla, Ami Tomay Valobashi."
Joy Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi film actor. He started his career in 2012 with the film Ek Joban. He is best known for Hitman, Chini Bibi, Ajob Prem and Antor Jala.
Chironjeeb Mujib is an 2021 Bangladeshi Bengali-language biographical film directed by Nazrul Islam who is script writer of Prime minister of Bangladesh. It stars Ahmed Rubel as Bangabandhu, the first President of Bangladesh and Father of the Nation. The film is based on a portion of The Unfinished Memoirs, written by Bangabandhu, which states his life from 1949 to 1952.
Din–The Day is a 2022 Bangladeshi–Iranian joint produced action film directed by Morteza Atashzamzam and produced by Ananta Jalil under his production banner Monsoon Films. The film features Ananta Jalil and Afiea Nusrat Barsha in lead roles.
