Maya Nassar (born October 3, 1986) is a Dutch-Lebanese international fitness model champion, TV host, brand ambassador, fitness entrepreneur, and certified specialist in sports nutrition.

Biography

Nassar was born in Long Island, New York to a Lebanese father and a Dutch mother. She grew up in Nigeria during her early childhood and later spent several years in England, before finally moving to Lebanon during her high school years.

Media

Throughout her career, Nassar has hosted her own TV show Get Fit, a workout segment on MTV Lebanon live twice a week. Following this broadcast, Maya joined Virgin Radio Stars and hosts her own daily morning show, “Start Living Right”.

Workshops and seminars

Nassar frequently shares her story via workshops where she discusses nutrition, exercise, and health. In 2015, she traveled to Russia to speak about health and fitness. She also served as a motivational speaker at the Henkel Middle East and North Africa regional senior leaders' conference. Elle Fiesta, a women's empowerment initiative, invited her to conduct a workshop aimed at inspiring women to embrace self-improvement and become their best selves. Nassar also helps train women on how to safely diet and exercise during their pregnancy.

In 2020, Nassar published a children's book called “Andy the Ant”. It was with her mother's help that they wrote the book aiming at boosting children's self-confidence. She is also the founder of the Kids’ Books Publishing House: A Hibiscuss Story.

Recognition

Maya Nassar launched the first online holistic pregnancy program XY Pregnancy in Lebanon and the Middle East. Maya Nassar holds the recognition of being the first Lebanese fitness entrepreneur to be featured in Forbes India. Maya Nassar's Start Living Right application is endorsed by the Lebanese Ministry of Sports and has been ranked as the number one application in the Apple Store. Maya Nassar is the first Arab Woman-Entrepreneur to be featured on the cover of New Zealand's MAXIM magazine.
