Mazharul Haq Shah Chowdhury is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and the former Member of Parliament of Chittagong-2. [1]
Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Chittagong-4 in 1988. [2] In 2004, he was appointed vice-chairman of Jatiya Party. [3]

On 1 October 2013 he was convicted of 9 of 23 charges and sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh for crimes during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence. He was executed in Dhaka on 22 November 2015.
