Md. Saidul Islam Rana (born;25 November 1991) also known by his screen name Saidul Islam Rana, is a Bangladeshi film director, producer and screenwriter, [1] He is known for his directorial debut film Birotto (2022). [2] [3]

Early life and education

Saidul Islam Rana was born in Rajbari on 25 November 1991. His father Md. Bablu Mulla was a Businessman and his mother Sazeda Begum is a housewife. In 2013, Saidul Islam Rana completed his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Dhaka International University. [1]

Career

In 2013, Saidul Islam Rana made his first Drama Serial Shomparko. Later he made Soap Opera, Single Episode Drama, TVC and Short Films. His Short Film The Speechless (2021) [4] was nominated in 16th International Short and Independent Film Festival. [5]

In 2022, Saidul Islam Rana made his first Feature Film BIROTTO [6] the production of the film was completed by Ping Pong Entertainment. [7] [8] [9]

Personal life

Rana married Sharmin Akter on 16 September 2016. He has a son, Rafsan Islam Arish. The family lives in Dhaka.
