Md Zakir Hossain (born 2 July 1966) [1] is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Kurigram-4 constituency. [1] He is former State Minister of Primary and Mass Education.
Hossain was elected to the parliament on 30 December 2018 from Kurigram-4 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. He was appointed the State Minister of Primary and Mass Education in the Fourth Sheikh Hasina Cabinet. [2]
On 26 November 2023,Awami League announced the final list of its 298 candidates to contest the 2024 national election which did not include Hossain. [3]
