The Medal of Military Duty is a three-degree military order in Egypt. [1]

It is a military medal established on July 9, 1953. It is awarded to military personnel with distinguished services outside of the battlefield. A three-degree military medal, awarded for personal acts of extraordinary gallantry and intrepidity in direct. The Medal also is awarded to foreigners. [2] [3] [4] [5]

Mahmoud Ibrahim Mahmoud Hegazy is an Egyptian general who was the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces from 2014 to 2017. Hegazy graduated from the Egyptian Military Academy in 1977, and served as the Chief of the Egyptian Military intelligence before his appointment as Chief of Staff by the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He is related to Sisi through the marriage of their respective children. Mahmoud Hegazy was replaced in 2017 by Mohammed Farid Hegazy in a shakeup of high level security personnel. No reason was given for the changes, but since 2013, Egypt has been fighting an ongoing Islamist insurgency that has killed of hundreds of policemen and soldiers. A week before the dismissal, sixteen policemen were killed during a police operation in the western desert of Giza province, and two high level security personnel for Giza were also dismissed. Hegazy was given a position of security advisor to the president. He is a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

Magdy Fouad Hegazy is the Egyptian former governor of Aswan Governorate, Egypt. He was appointed by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on December 26, 2015. He was formerly Chief of Air Defense Staff the Egyptian Air Defense Command. General Hegazy studied in the Air Defense College and graduated on September 1, 1973, and served as a platoon radar officer of an SA-6 platoon. He held many important positions during his career, including leading an air defense battalion, a brigade, a military region and a training course. Hegazy has been awarded several medals and decorations such as the Longevity & Exemplary Medal and the Distinguished Service Decoration.

The Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Administration, is the agency of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense responsible for military intelligence. It is one of the three Egyptian intelligence services, along with the General Intelligence Service (GIS) and National Security Agency.

Al Ahly Hockey , was one of Al Ahly SC club's sections that represented the club in Egypt, Field hockey is one of the oldest sports to play in Egypt. There were unofficial competitions that were played at the inception of the last century by the English military teams while Egypt was under occupancy by the UK. Al Ahly as usual took the lead by 30's to be the first 100% Egyptian club to introduce this sport to his members and followers. This was at the time while there were another 20 sports are played within the club premises. Al Ahly was the best team in this sport in Egypt in 40's and 50's of the last century. The club clinched most of the local competitions. But unfortunately, later, by end of 60's, the club took a decision to dis-solve this sport activity to reduce the costs as the club experienced severe financial problems after 1967 war, and the bad management as well by the club president at that time: Salah Al Dessouki.
