Mehalso Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Penn State Erie. A gift from Dr. Robert Mehalso and his wife, Elizabeth, it is located in Erie, Pennsylvania (USA).

Erie Lackawanna Railway

The Erie Lackawanna Railway, known as the Erie Lackawanna Railroad until 1968, was formed from the 1960 merger of the Erie Railroad and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad. The official motto of the line was "The Friendly Service Route".

Pennsylvania State University Public university with multiple campuses in Pennsylvania, United States

The Pennsylvania State University is a public state-related land-grant research university with campuses and facilities throughout Pennsylvania. Founded in 1855 as the Farmers' High School of Pennsylvania, Penn State became the state's only land-grant university in 1863. Today, Penn State is a major research university which conducts teaching, research, and public service. Its instructional mission includes undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education offered through resident instruction and online delivery. In addition to its land-grant designation, it also participates in the sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant research consortia; it is one of only four such universities. Its University Park campus, which is the largest and serves as the administrative hub, lies within the Borough of State College and College Township. It has two law schools: Penn State Law, on the school's University Park campus, and Dickinson Law, in Carlisle. The College of Medicine is in Hershey. Penn State is one university that is geographically distributed throughout Pennsylvania. There are 19 commonwealth campuses and 5 special mission campuses located across the state. Pennsylvania Company

The Pennsylvania Company, later known publicly as the Pennsylvania Lines was a major holding company. It included the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway, the PRR's main route to Chicago. It also owned but did not operate the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad, another line to Chicago. It merged back into the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1918.

Penn State Behrend (PSB) is a commonwealth campus of Pennsylvania State University and it is located in Erie, Pennsylvania. PSB is a four-year university with over 5,000 students and over 250 faculty, in five academic programs: the Schools of Business, Engineering, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Science, and the Nursing Program. In addition to bachelor's degrees, PSB offers master's degrees in some programs as well as continuing education and non-degree programs.

Cornplanter State Forest

Cornplanter State Forest is a Pennsylvania State Forest in Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry District #14. The main office is located in North Warren in Warren County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is named for Chief Cornplanter of the Seneca Nation, one of the tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy.

Pennsylvania Route 290 is a 9.17-mile-long (14.76 km) state highway located in the environs of Erie, Pennsylvania. The western terminus of the route is at Interstate 79 and Pennsylvania Route 5 in the neighborhood of Dock Junction. The eastern terminus is at Interstate 90 and Pennsylvania Route 430 southeast of downtown in Harborcreek Township.

Pennsylvania Route 226 is a 4.868-mile-long (7.834 km) state highway located in Conneaut Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. The western terminus is at the Ohio state line, where it continues into that state as State Route 84. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 6N west of Albion.

Within the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, Interstate 90 (I-90) spans 46.297 miles (74.508 km), all within Erie County, from the Ohio border near West Springfield to the New York border near North East. I-90 is the primary west–east highway in the Erie area, passing south of downtown and having interchanges with I-79, which connects downtown Erie to southern Pennsylvania and beyond, and I-86, linking Erie to the Southern Tier of New York. U.S. Route 20, which has an interchange with I-90 near the New York-Pennsylvania border, parallels I-90 across the county.

Gudgeonville Covered Bridge

The Gudgeonville Covered Bridge was an 84-foot (25.6 m) long Multiple King-post Truss covered bridge over Elk Creek in Girard Township, Erie County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was built in 1868 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1980. It was destroyed by arson on November 8, 2008.
