Melanie Roberts (born 13 May 1988 in Saltney, Flintshire, Wales) is a retired British gymnast.
At the age of five, Roberts started gymnastics at the Northgate Arena Leisure Centre in Chester. She later joined the City of Liverpool gym club.
In 2002, Roberts was named to the British team for the Junior European Championships even though her earlier rankings (20th and 18th) at the British Espoir Championships had not been strong. Her balance beam routine was one of the few performances by a junior to be broadcast on Greek television, which brought her considerable popularity. She performed strongly at a number of competitions in 2002 before an elbow injury in 2003. After recovering, she resumed competition, including taking gold on the balance beam at the Northern European Gymnastics Championships in Lisburn in 2005. [1]

Angelina Romanovna Melnikova is a Russian artistic gymnast. With eleven Olympic and World medals, she is the joint third-most decorated Russian gymnast of all time. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics she led the Russian Olympic Committee to gold in the team competition. She represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the team event, and was part of the Great Britain team to win silver, their best ever result, in the team event at the 2020 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and the same medal at the 2022 European Championships. Competing at the 2019 Junior World Championships, she won a silver medal in the vault final.

Representing Great Britain, Achampong won World and European silver medals in the team event, and European silver on balance beam. On the senior Artistic Gymnastics World Cup circuit, Achampong was the 2020 Melbourne World Cup silver medallist on balance beam.
