Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (ActionAid Denmark) is a Danish, politically independent humanitarian non-governmental organisation that fights for a more just and sustainable world. The organisation is the Danish member of the global federation ActionAid International. It works for increased understanding and solidarity between the peoples of the world, as well as promoting global development based on the sustainable use and just distribution of wealth and resources. It has a special focus on equality, social movements and youth activism, climate justice and refugee and minority rights. [1]
ActionAid Denmark started as Fredsvenners Hjælpearbejde in 1944. In 1946 the organisation changed its name to Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, and in 1974 it adopted open membership. The organisation's highest authority is the Council, whose members are individuals and organizations elected by the members. Council elections are conducted annually and all members are eligible to run for election. [2]
Via its volunteer programme Global Contact, it sends hundreds of volunteers abroad every year through cultural exchanges, study trips and volunteer placements. [3]
In 1994 in association with the Irish Kimmage Development Studies Centre, the MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation(MS-TCDC) began running of a Certificate in Community Development course, in Arusha, Tanzania. [4] In 2001 as part of the partnership with, Kimmage DSC a Diploma in Development Studies was offered, which in 2004 became the Level 7 BA Degree in Development Studies, [5] which is validated by the Irish governments Higher Education and Training Awards Council(HETAC). [6] [7] The course is recognised by the Tanzanian governments National Council for Technical Education(NACTE). [8]

The Finnish Red Cross is an independent member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which is one of the biggest and best-known international organisations in the world and in the field of humanitarian aid. FRC has over 90,000 members and around 45,000 active volunteers in Finland. FRC consists of 12 regional chapters and 550 local branches throughout the country. The current General Secretary is Ms. Kristiina Kumpula. At the end of 2006, the FRC employed 1,168 people, of which 136 worked at the headquarters in Helsinki.

The EU Centres of Excellence on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Risk Mitigation is an initiative of the European Union which was launched in 2010. The initiative addresses the mitigation of and preparedness for risks related to CBRN material and agents. The origin of these risks can be criminal, accidental or natural. The CBRN CoE Initiative seeks to boost cooperation at national, regional and international levels, and to develop a common and coherent CBRN risk mitigation policy at national and regional level. Risk mitigation comprises prevention, preparedness and post-crisis management.
Anriette Esterhuysen is a human rights defender and computer networking pioneer from South Africa. She has pioneered the use of Internet and Communications Technologies (ICTs) to promote social justice in South Africa and throughout the world, focusing on affordable Internet access. She was the Executive Director of the Association for Progressive Communications from 2000 until April 2017, when she became APC's Director of Policy and Strategy. In November 2019 United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Esterhuysen to Chair the Internet Governance Forum’s Multistakeholder Advisory Group.
Kimmage Mission Institute (KMI) was an educational institute of theology and cultures, founded 1991, by the Holy Ghost Fathers, at their Missionary College, in Kimmage Manor, Dublin. The Holy Ghost Fathers had a long history of teaching Theology and Philosophy in Kimmage to its missionaries. The KMI was developed as a response in the fall in vocations. As well as the Spiritans, ten other missionary congregations were involved in the institute . The KMI worked closely with its other Spiritan College on the Holy Ghost Missionary College campus, the Kimmage Development Studies Centre (DSC).
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency is a government department subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Turkey). Focusing on development cooperation, TİKA works in more than 150 countries. TİKA is responsible for the organization of the bulk of Turkey's official development assistance to developing countries, with a particular focus on Turkic and African countries and communities. According to the OECD, 2020 official development assistance from Turkey increased by 1.2% to US$8 billion. As of January 2022, TİKA has undertaken 30,000 projects worldwide.
