Mem Sahib is a 1956 Indian Hindi-language drama film, directed and produced by R.C. Talwar starring Meena Kumari, Kishore Kumar and Shammi Kapoor. [1]
Bombay-based Meena lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her Chacha and Chachi in a mansion. When asked to marry, she places an advertisement in the local newspaper, and after interviewing many males, chooses Manohar to be her future husband. She shares this news as well as introduces him to her family - who disapprove and remind her that her late father had selected a groom named Sunder even before she was born. She scoffs at this and announces that she will marry Manohar soon. Then Sunder, who was living at an ashram for Brahmacharis, shows up at her home - complete in traditional ashram clothing and is ready to marry her. When facing rejection, he decides to change his lifestyle and be like Manohar - and does so - albeit with hilarious results. He is pleased when he notices a change in her and takes her home to introduce her to his mother - little knowing that the change is only superficial - and she an hidden agenda. [2]

Shammi Kapoor (born Shamsher Raj Kapoor; was an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. Kapoor is considered as one of the greatest and most successful actors in the history of Indian cinema. In a career spanning over five decades, Kapoor worked in over 100 films. He is the recipient of three Filmfare Awards, including one for Best Actor.

Pyar Ka Mausam is a 1969 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film under Nasir Hussain films banner. Its plot has much similarity to Hussain's own earlier film "Tumsa Nahi Dekha," with Ameeta and Shammi Kapoor in the lead roles. It starred Shashi Kapoor, and the Nasir Husain fixture- Asha Parekh. It also had Bharat Bhushan, Nirupa Roy, Madan Puri, Tahir Hussain and another Nasir Husain fixture Rajendranath. Nasir's nephew Faisal Khan who was 3 years old at the time plays Shashi Kapoor's character as a child. Two more Husain fixtures were responsible for the memorable songs: lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri and music composer R.D. Burman. R.D.Burman also had an acting role in the film. The film became a Silver Jubilee Hit.
Jab Jab Phool Khile is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film. It stars Shashi Kapoor and Nanda. The story is of a poor boy who is a boatman in Kashmir and falls in love with a rich tourist. The film became a "blockbuster" at the box office, was No. 2 in top ten grossing films at Box Office India for 1965. The songs by the music composing duo Kalyanji Anandji, assisted by then little-known Laxmikant Pyarelal are highlights of the film. The film was screened in Algeria's cinema halls every two days for a couple of years; there was, in fact, public demand for it. Shashi Kapoor was one of the most successful Indian actors in North African countries such as Algeria, Morocco and Libya. In the souks of Marrakesh, even today some of the older shopkeepers will give you a discount if you are from the land of Shashi Kapoor.

Miss Mary is a 1957 Indian comedy film directed by L.V. Prasad. The movie is an AVM production, written by Hargobind Duggal, and directed by L. V. Prasad. The original Missamma was directed in Telugu in 1955 and was remade as Missiamma in Tamil with Savitri playing the title role in both films. It was remade in Hindi as Miss Mary in 1957 with Meena Kumari in the title role, keeping Jamuna as the constant factor in all these films. L. V. Prasad directed all three versions. The music was by Hemant Kumar with the lyrics and dialogue written by Rajendra Krishan. The songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Geeta Dutt and Mohammed Rafi. The film's script was adapted by Chakrapani from two Indian Bengali-language novels: Rabindranath Maitra's Manmoyee Girls School and Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay'sDetective.
