The Louisville and Nashville Railroad, commonly called the L&N, was a Class I railroad that operated freight and passenger services in the southeast United States.
The Georgia Railroad and Banking Company also seen as "GARR", was a historic railroad and banking company that operated in the U.S. state of Georgia. In 1967 it reported 833 million revenue-ton-miles of freight and 3 million passenger-miles; at the end of the year it operated 331 miles (533 km) of road and 510 miles (820 km) of track.
The Memphis, Clarksville and Louisville Railroad (MC&L) was a railway in the southern United States. It was chartered in Tennessee in 1852, and opened in 1859. The MC&L entered receivership after the American Civil War, and financial troubles led to an 11-day strike in 1868 that ended when Louisville and Nashville Railroad (L&N) leased the line. L&N finally purchased the MC&L in 1871 and operated it as its Memphis Branch. L&N was merged into CSX, and CSX sold the former MC&L line to R.J. Corman Railroad Group in 1987, becoming that company's Memphis Line.
The Cumberland Valley Subdivision is a railroad line owned and operated by the CSX Railroad in the U.S. states of Kentucky and Virginia. The line runs from Corbin, Kentucky, east to Big Stone Gap, Virginia, along a former Louisville and Nashville Railroad line.

The M&M Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in Alabama. The line runs from Montgomery, Alabama, to Mobile, Alabama, for a total of 178.2 miles. At its north end it continues south from the S&NA South Subdivision and at its south end it continues south as the NO&M Subdivision. There is also the Prattville Branch which runs from Montgomery, Alabama, to Prattville, Alabama, for a total of 12.0 miles. The name M&M stands for the Mobile and Montgomery Railroad, which the line was part of in its history.
The PD Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in Florida and Alabama. The line runs from Pensacola, Florida, north to Flomaton, Alabama, for a total of 41.0 miles (66.0 km). At its south end it connects to the Florida Gulf & Atlantic Railroad and at its north end it continues north as the M&M Subdivision.
The Kanawha Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of West Virginia and Kentucky. It was formerly part of the CSX Huntington East Division. It became part of the CSX Florence Division on June 20, 2016. The line runs from Montgomery, West Virginia, to Russell, Kentucky, for a total of 94.7 miles (152.4 km). At its east end it continues west from the New River Subdivision and at its west end it continues west as the Russell Terminal Subdivision of the Louisville Division.

The line runs from N. Graham Street, at the west end of the Memphis Subdivision, through the CSX Leewood Yard, to downtown where it terminates as it merges into the Union Pacific Memphis Subdivision at Kentucky Street. The line runs from Leewood to Aulon Junction on the Canadian National Shelby Subdivision.

The LH&STL Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It was originally built as the Louisville, Henderson and Texas Railway in 1882, with the intent of building a line to Texas by way of St. Louis, Missouri. It was nicknamed "The Texas Line," by which it is still often referred today. The line fell into bankruptcy and was reorganized as the Louisville, Henderson and St. Louis Railway in 1896. The rail line was acquired by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in 1929; the parent company still exists and holds other rail-related assets. Through a series of mergers, the line is now operated by CSX.
