Mentissa Aziza (born 4 April 1999), better known by the mononym Mentissa, is a Belgian singer-songwriter. [1]

Early life

Mentissa Aziza was born in Denderleeuw and 1999. [2]

Her first love was dancing (and majorette parades) [3] when, at the age of 12, the series Glee awakened her desire to sing.

In 2014, Mentissa joined the cast of The Voice Kids in Belgium. It was her first time taking part in a television show. [3] She won the TV talent show on 24 October, as part of Team Natalia Druyts.

In 2019, she appeared on The Voice of Holland . In 2020, she auditioned in Paris to enter season 10 of The Voice France . [3] , on which she finished in third place as part of team Vianney.

In October 2021, she joined the label Tôt ou Tard. [2] The airplay of the song "Et Bam" on radio launched her career. Her first album, La Vingtaine, was released on 18 November 2022. [4]

Mentissa opened for Vianney at the Olympia on 24, 25 and 26 November 2022 and embarked on her first tour in February 2023. [5]

In 2023, she became a coach of the eleventh season of The Voice Belgium alongside Beverly Jo Scott, Christophe Willem and Hatik. [6]
