Raj Kapoor, also known as Ranbir Raj Kapoor, was an Indian actor, film director and producer, who worked in Hindi cinema. He is considered one of the greatest and most influential actors and filmmakers in the history of Indian cinema, and has been referred to as The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema and as the Charlie Chaplin of Indian Cinema.
Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol is an Indian actor, producer, and politician who is primarily known for his work in Hindi films. Nicknamed the "He-Man" of Bollywood, Dharmendra is widely regarded to be amongst the most handsome Indian actors of his time. Alda Sinha, better known by her stage name Mala Sinha, is a former Indian actress who has worked in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali films. She was known as the "daring diva" and "torch bearer of women's cinema" for essaying strong female centric and unconventional roles in a range of movies considered ahead of their times. Having received multiple awards and nominations, she was given the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma . They composed music for about 750 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all notable filmmakers, including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, K. Balanchander, Boney Kapoor, J. Om Prakash, Raj Khosla, L V Prasad, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, K Viswanath and Manoj Kumar.
Vinod Mehra was an Indian actor in Hindi films. He started out as a child actor in the mid 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death.
Ghayal (transl. Wounded) is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language action drama film written and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Dharmendra. The film stars Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri, Raj Babbar and Amrish Puri, with Moushumi Chatterjee, Annu Kapoor, Om Puri, Sharat Saxena and Sudesh Berry playing supporting roles. The film grossed at ₹20 crore and was declared a "super hit" by Box Office India. It was also the 2nd highest-grossing film of the year. According to Box Office India, "Ghayal had set records in repeat runs. No film from the nineties was even close to it in repeat runs and only Sholay has higher business in repeat runs in the history of Hindi cinema."

Anuraag is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language drama film, directed by Shakti Samanta. The film stars Moushumi Chatterjee, in her debut as a heroine, and Vinod Mehra in lead roles. The Shakti Samanta fixture Rajesh Khanna, having earlier made Aradhana (1969) and Kati Patang (1971) with Samanta, makes a special appearance. The music is by S. D. Burman. Initially, Samanta was unsure if the distributors would buy a film with such a storyline and had shared the idea with Rajesh Khanna, who encouraged Samanta and volunteered to make an extended appearance for the film, and also distributed the film under the banner "Shakti-Raj".
Zindagi (transl. Life) is a 1976 Hindi movie produced by Romu Sippy and directed by Ravi Tandon. The film stars Mala Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Aruna Irani, Deven Verma, A. K. Hangal, Padmini Kolhapure, Keshto Mukherjee and Iftekhar. The film's music is by Rajesh Roshan. The movie is based on the 1937 Leo McCarey movie Make Way for Tomorrow which was also later adapted in 2003 in Hindi as Baghban.
Aag Hi Aag is a 1987 Bollywood action film directed by Shibu Mitra. It stars Dharmendra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Shatrughan Sinha, Chunky Pandey, Neelam, Richa Sharma, Shakti Kapoor, Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles, along with Vinod Mehra, Gulshan Grover in guest appearances. The film surfaced as one of the biggest hits of the year, becoming the fourth-highest-grossing film of the year 1987. This film also launched Chunky Pandey's Bollywood career.
Krodhi is a 1981 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Subhash Ghai. It features an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Moushumi Chatterjee, Sachin, Ranjeeta, Pran, Premnath and Amrish Puri. The film was launched in 1977, but faced delays due to issues between the cast and the crew, before finally getting released on 20th February 1981. Upon release, it received mixed to negative reviews from critics and underperformed at the box office.
Phandebaaz is a 1978 Bollywood action comedy romantic film directed by Samir Ganguly, and starring Dharmendra, Moushumi Chatterjee and Prem Chopra. Originally, Leena Chandavarkar was to play the female lead but she was unable to attend the shooting and was replaced by Moushumi Chatterjee. Hema Malini had a guest appearance in one song.
Yamla Pagla Deewana is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Samir Karnik, featuring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. The film marks the second pair-up between the Deol family, after Apne (2007). The film's title is inspired by the song "Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana" from the 1975 film, Pratigya also starring Dharmendra. The theatrical trailer of the film unveiled on 5 November 2010, whilst the film released on 14 January 2011, and received good response upon release. It turned out to be a box office hit. It is the first installment of Yamla Pagla Deewana film series and the 11th highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011.

The film revolves around how a spy (Chakraborty) plots to bring a terrorist to justice, and how he is helped out by his lover (Sridevi), his elder brother and sister-in-law and a jailed convict (Dharmendra).
